3. Additional BuckeyePlanet Features

BuckeyePlanet runs on a highly customized version of vBulletin software (from Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.). This customization is the result of our sense of community and the willingness of the site owner to take whatever steps necessary to effect the changes requested by our membership. The overarching theme at BuckeyePlanet has been the concept of a "community project". It is a concept we take seriously and while our resources aren't unlimited, we make every effort to add the features requested by our membership. We would like your experience to be yours ... and possibly yours alone. The tools are in place to tailor your time at BuckeyePlanet into a very unique experience. One that may be vastly different than any other member might experience. Some will spend their time posting on the forums. Other will be 'lost' in the arcade for days. What will you do with your time here?

Many of the features you will find on BuckeyePlanet are standard options found on any vBulletin web site. However, many others are unique to BuckeyePlanet and required custom coding and programming. In this Chapter (3), we will detail the additional features our members enjoy at BuckeyePlanet. Some are very simple and aid members in navigating BuckeyePlanet. Some are so full of features, bells and whistles that they could stand alone as their own web site. Have fun experiencing BuckeyePlanet 'your' way.
