Negative recruiting, silent verbals, etc. (split from Devon Still & Solomon Thomas)
I'm moving these discussions here... Feel free to continue them.

Here is the thing that most people let slide right past them...recruiting is all about hype. When tOSU was in the headlines every day during the season, the kids were eating it all up and proclaiming as much. However, now that its been a few weeks and the kids have come off of that high from The Game, things are starting to slow down in the tOSU promotions. Coaches are visiting and showing love and kids are not as open in their glowing remarks.
This is not a bad thing, but it certainly is not as cozy as when kids are saying tOSU is their definite leader. Coaches are on short time now as NLOID is only two months away...that means more attention, more pressure, more desperation, and more kids doing more thinking.
Expect a few slow weeks during December...maybe even a few casualties. However, January recruiting is like November football...that is where the pretenders are separated from the contenders.
I expect January to be just like the November we already experienced.

And guys like Zook don't have a bowl game to prepare for....
Right now, the Ohio State staff has to remain focused on goal number one - winning the NC game on January 8th. If lack of attention to recruiting costs them a prospect or two, then so be it.

I am not one of those read between the lines, what are you really trying to say guys and I hate to make assumptions without facts. So help me out here.
Are you saying we should trust the coaches and lets just see how it plays out on this one?
Thanks
