He looks like Juggernaut. Somewhat.

Yep, younger brother.
One of the Stoops brothers is an assistant coach up there I believe.
There is also a younger McCarthy coming through the ranks, I've heard to expect big things.
Oh yeah, Simon is a monster.

Any attempt to explain why Simon did not make the 150 is pointless:

John Simon (Youngstown, Ohio / Cardinal Mooney) was highly debated for a slot in the rankings. Simon is a tough, high-motor defender. He is an easy kid to like as a football player; he lines up and battles in the trenches. He needs to add bulk and watch his pad level. This Ohio State commit is a good prospect who will be watched closely as the season kicks off.

Yeah I normally don't waste my time with rankings too much...but this is just ridiculous..."add bulk"? Seriously? ESPN might as well just admit they throw darts at a board... If you are gonna make excuses for why certain people are left off the list at least be remotely rational. What a joke!

I don't think it's that big of an outrage. Simon is a seriously big guy, but if you go with the ESPN recruiting board's weight for him, 265, he's pretty light for a major D-1A defensive tackle. And if you go with the weight he gave recently, 275-278 (which I suspect is more accurate than ESPN's listed weight), he could still probably benefit from packing on another 10 lbs. or so. There's no doubt the guy's got the muscle, and I'm not defending leaving him off ESPN's top 150, but if you're going to highlight an area of improvement for him, adding 10 to 15 pounds would be one of the obvious ones. And pretty common for a high school DT, even a particularly good one.

Yeah, that seems about right. I'll add that Johnny will probably have quite a season this year and his "rankings" will only improve. .....not that it matters.

If this pic is accurate then he doesn't need to add any bulk to be a D1 lineman.
