Who Are Your Top Players for 2008? (merged)
I figured there should probably be a general thread on 2008 topics so that individual prospect threads don't get clogged with talk of other prospects. As my contribution, I'll add my Ohio top 25 list (note that these are mostly last year's heights and weights): - John Adams 5-11 170 CB/WR Akron Buchtel
- Zebrie Sanders 6-6 275 OT Clayton Northmont
- Mike Adams 6-5 295 OT Dublin Coffman
- Brandon Moore 6-5 220 TE/DE Trotwood-Madison
- Nathan Williams 6-4 235 DE/LB Washington Court House Miami Trace
- DeVoe Torrance 6-2 215 LB Canton South
- Shawdell Rowell 6-4 340 OG/DT Cleveland Glenville
- Brandon Beachum 6-1 210 LB/TB Youngstown Cardinal Mooney
- Chad Maynard 6-3 290 DT Lancaster
- Justin Brown 6-4 240 DE Youngstown Ursuline
- Justin Staples 6-3 210 LB Lakewood St. Edward
- Walt Stewart 6-4 200 DE/LB Columbus Franklin Heights
- Mark Stevens 6-6 265 OT Lexington
- Kyle Rudolph 6-6 210 TE Cincinnati Elder
- Dan McCarthy 6-1 185 S Youngstown Cardinal Mooney
- Mike Zordich 6-1 210 LB Youngstown Cardinal Mooney
- Fred Craig 6-1 190 LB Cincinnati St. Xavier
- Reggie Comeaux 6-4 310 OT Massillon Washington
- Isaac Anderson 6-4 290 OG Upper Sandusky
- Darius Ashley 5-8 185 TB Cincinnati St. Xavier
- Nick Schneider 6-3 210 LB Cincinnati St. Xavier
- Matt Mihalik 6-7 270 OT/DE Gates Mills Gilmour Academy
- Jake Current 6-3 255 OG Troy
- Salvador Battles 6-0 205 QB/ATH Youngstown Rayen
- Ben Buchanon 6-0 185 K Westerille Central

Good list.
Its still real early, but '08 should be Ohio's best year talentwise since '02.
Linebackers and O-lineman look to be the strength of the '08 class.
Glenville is also loaded...

Couple of thoughts
1-I will see Brandon Moore play in a scrimmage on Friday. I will post my thoughts on him.
2-Good to see a lot of DL and OL talent. I wonder if Rowell will get an offer as an OL if the staff thinks he is too big for DT. Williams and Maynard are from schools where an OSU offer is almost a sure commit .
3-The # of stud LBs is sick.

Hodge... I'd add Jamhiir Williams from Lima Sr. to the list. He could challenge Beachum for the top LB spot in OH next year...

I see you have no QB's on that list(Atleast from a quick glance at the list).
Marvin Stewart(Yes from my school) is going to be a good one. At the end of his sophomore season he was getting recruited by Iowa, Penn State, Colorado, among many other schools.
EDIT: Nevermind didn't see that QB/ATH from Rayen.

Domonick Britt is regarded by some to be the top QB in Ohio in '08...

Battles will be recruited mostly as a RB by the big time schools.

We'll see. The kid has a cannon for an arm. He certainly has more running skills than passing skills at this point (by far), but if he has a big season passing the ball...................
