SAN ANTONIO ? Greg Oden's life journey seems almost predetermined. Anthony Oden is just starting to find his way.
Greg is a freshman at Ohio State, a 7-foot, 280-pound basketball player called the best American big man in a generation. He probably will be the No. 1 NBA draft pick whenever he leaves college.

Powell said Anthony has a football scholarship offer from Kansas. Basketball offers might come after a successful ACT score.

Film:
My Take: RAW. Very raw but massive potential. Most clips showed him at TE...I'd project him more at tackle. Obviously a long frame with great wingspan and shows flashes of excellent feet. He is at the beginning of his journey and has a very tempting upside. However, this is not a good year at tOSU to be a project.

.......unless it convinces Greg to stay another year (or three)

It might be self-evident, but did the Oden family move to Ohio? Interesting if true.

Assuming this move was to be closer to Greg and not because of a job situation-it doesn't seem that a family would move to be closer to someone for only 1 year (really less than that).

I think we should invest a scholarship in this kid. He seems to have all the tools that are needed to become a monster DT or a Jonathan Ogden-like Offensive Lineman.

Is it illegal to trade an extra year of his brother for a scholarship?

Well, if Greg does leave early, a greyshirt is a definite possability as money certainly will not be an issue with him.
