Wow! Thou art strong in thy convictions. Other than Denicos Allen, I would agree with the content, not the order, but Hall at 6 is making a strong '40' like statement. I have to beg to disagree there, buddy. I'd love to see your breakdown on this order!

Forgot Allen...I really like him, at times I fail to see where he would fit in...Ohio Varsity has him behind Snook and Fox, which I have towards the end of my list...

Hall that low, is my own personal opinion...It really doesn't have anything to do with him not being a good player, it does kinda have to do with him maybe limited to RT...Also the talent at the top of the state is very good...I like Carradine, think he is a top 5 player in the state, think he would have offers from everyone if he had the grades...I have seen people say Klein could end up being the best player in this class...Barnett is a top 3 corner in the country IMO...Wood is a top safety...Maybe Hall should be ahed of Wood...And Simon and Fellows are no brainers IMHO at the top of the state...

You really think Muldoon is behind Newsome? I thought #23 on the rivals list was definitely too low so #18 is an improvement, but I think he is a top 10-15 player in the state. I can really see Muldoon being a contributor for us, while I am just not sold on Newsome.

Other than that, though, I thought the Rivals list was pretty accurate. I think I would have dropped Hall to #3 and bumped Barnett and Wood up to #4 and #5, but that is just splitting hairs.

Yeah Newsome had a good combine and won the MVP, and he has the speed coming off the edge...

Just curious who you would put Muldoon ahead of on my list...

I would put Muldoon ahead of Underwood and Newsome on your list. Golden/Linsley/Muldoon are somewhat of a toss up for me. I think that Newsome has more upside than Muldoon, but that Muldoon has a better chance of making an impact. I look at Newsome as an athlete who is playing football, while Muldoon is a football player who is also athletic. No doubt Newsome has a great first step and looks very fast on film, but he is going to need to put on a decent amount of weight and work on shedding blocks by more than just being faster than the other player. Muldoon has a real nose for the ball and I like the way he gets off his blocks/moves the blocker where he wants to go. I think he could be a solid DE or a bulk up and slide to DT if we continue our trend of using smaller, quicker DT's. That's just my take, though. I am sure you have seen way more film than I have and maybe even seen these kids in camp/games.

I've been kind of stuck on this lately because I am not sure what is happening with our D-line recruiting right now. For a long time I thought we would take Simon, Fellows, Newsome and Muldoon and make room for Adams if he wanted to come. All indications have been that Newsome and Muldoon were all Buckeye. But now I don't know what is going on with the recent offers to Arnett and Ezell. I don't know if Adams is out for good and the staff wants 5, or if either Muldoon or Newsome is wavering. Sorry for getting a little off topic.

Underwood is a very good player and could be a game changer, he just recently picked up an offer from Michigan. Another year he might get a look from us, but with Fields and Jackson already in, I just don't think so....As for Newsome I think at this point there is more potential, but he showed out at the cleveland combine, impressed scouts quite a bit, and can be more of a force on the d-line rushing the passer off the edge. I have Golden up there because I think there might be a couple other things holding him back from getting an offer, but he is a good back, hits the hole well...Linsley is one of the top interior lineman in the nation and I really like him...

I am with you on d-line recruiting, I think they just have some offers out to guys like Adams for example that they take no matter what...Not sure what to make of the recent offer to Ezell quite yet, especially with our chances on Adams being as good as they are...I still believe that Muldoon and Newsome are all buckeye...

My lumping Muldoon with Golden/Linsley is because of how much I like Muldoon, not because I am down on those guys. As for Underwood, totally agree that he is a player - I am concerned about his being listed at 5'9"/5'10" more than anything else.
