Couple things of note...

I know it is just one highlight film, but not sure I understand all the hype for Edwin Baker...#2 player in the midwest? Ahead of Simon, Campbell, Drummond, etc...

Don't get me wrong he looks like a very good back, but not 5 star type player IMO from watching the film...I would have him as number 5 player in the state of Michigan behind Campbell, Jackson, Sims, and Caper...

Also I don't think it is out of the question to land 11-14 of the top 30...
The toughest I think are going to be James Jackson, Melvin Fellows, and JT Turner, but there isn't any reason why we couldn't land all three...14 of the top 30 would just be dominating...

I noted some guys I thought were reated too low (and would also include just about all of the Wisconsin verbal in that list). I thought Bryce McNeal and Leon Hill were two guys rated a touch high but it's tough to argue with any of the rankings at this point (although I agree 100% with what CBF40 says above about Baker).

Overall not a bad list, but I would jockey some guys around different than they have them...

And Kirkpatrick is a top 5 player along with Nixon and Simon being a top 20 talent...

Storm klein top 100 talent...

Melvin Fellows top 50 talent...number 2 player in Ohio...Behind Simon...

I also think that once Carradine starts pulling the big offers he will be on the list, but not quite as high as I would have him...

I love where they have Hall, Turner, Barnett and Wood tho...

Lots of love for Ohio guys...11 guys in the top 250 and there are couple more guys that might get in the top250 at times during the season...

I'm lovin' the Wood and Barnett rankings. I know I've already said it before but I'm a huge fan of them. Nixon and McGee are surprisingly low considering they're both from the south and have offers from everyone.

Well I think Rivals evaluates the talent and projects which players will be the best in college, not which players had the best offers. Offers may be a great indication of a players potential, but that doesn't necessarily mean that rivals is smart enough to realize this.

Like say a kid has offers from everyone and you have him as the 98th best player in the country...

Agree with you, but as for BigMike, they did get it right in the end...and did it enthusiastically without trying to justify their deep, idiotic, bumbling oversight...impressive, imo. From 98 to 3 is a monstrous correction.
