I am currently working on Southern Cal recruits for RecruitingPlanet.com, and the Trojans already have a verbal commitment from a 2009 OLB prospect by the name of Marquis Simmons. Simmons's stats are listed below:
Height: 6-foot-1
Weight: 215 lbs
Forty: 4.69 secs
Shuttle: 4.56 secs
Vertical: 30 inches
Bench reps: 17 @ 150 lbs
So you can see, the height, weight, speed, and vertical numbers are almost identical, and Whiting has the clear edge in strength. Of course, both have are reputed to be excellent football players for kids who have just finished their sophomore years in high school.
The point is, if Simmons has enough athleticism for USC, then Whiting certainly has enough athleticism for OSU."
The other thing about Jordan is that he has a 3.87 GPA, and rumor does have it that he does want to be a "BUCKEYE"

From the Courier-Journal, I took out the offense write up.
Rocks Eye Three-Peat... for the 3rd time.
Coach Bob Beatty doesn't care that his Trinity High School football team, the Class 4-A champion in 2005 and '06, is the preseason favorite to win the Class 6-A championship this year.
"Rankings are for the media and coffeehouses," he said Wednesday afternoon.
Trinity, which beat Ryle 41-7 in last year's 4-A final, lost a lot of talent but has simply reloaded as it guns for its sixth state championship in seven years.
The defense will be led by two of the top linebackers in the state - senior Wes Weitlauf and junior Jordan Whiting.
Trinity lost a lot in the secondary, but Beatty pointed out defensive backs Nick Van Wallaghen and Jordan Borders as two of the biggest surprises of preseason camp.
The Shamrocks will open their season Aug. 31, hosting 2006 AAA runner-up Bowling Green.

Yes and no, I know the family extremely well, I have been close to them for years. Here is a highlight video of him from last year, that was uploaded to the sparq website last year, make sure to click on the video to play it. Also there are a few pics of him there as well.

He also won state in powerlifting this year as well and in Oklahoma he set a new national record for the teenage division with a deadlift of 545lbs.

Quick explanation on the question of the 40 time.
At the National Underclassmen Combine he was timed at 4.71, however after he attended the performance camp at OSU,he ran the 40 4.6 flat.

The picture is out of date with the information on his lifts:
Bench is 350lbs-360lbs (not exactly sure)
Squat 525lbs
Powerclean 280lbs.
Deadlift 620lbs.
The kid is freak of nature, the GREAT thing about it is his strength is from hard work in the weight room, I can say without a doubt no supplements of any kind, his parents would blow their stack if he did, especially his father.

Notice anything? If the staff wants this kid... as much as I think I want him in Columbus... it appears that all they need to do if offer him. I can't get over the unbelievable amount of LBs already interested for 2009.

The video was a little hard to see, but what I could see was impressive. Aside from the visible tackles, I think my favorite parts were when there was a glare and the tackle couldn't be seen, and all you can see is this dark dot of Whiting colliding with a mass of brightness...and the mass of brightness moving backwards. LOL. The kid is a cleaner.
