Chris should do whatever it takes to ensure that he has made the right choice. It's his future. He owes nothig to whomever "us" is.

Plus he'll be able to tell other visiting recruits to come here too !!

I have no problem with a free trip to SoCal or any other school. I am not sure that I would put it out in an interview. IMO it might be better to say everything is great, looking forward to being a Buckeye, and I will let you know what the Cali hotties look like in person.
But then again, I am not 17...

The difference here is that Chris has said all along that OSU is his dream offer, and it is at the very top of his list.
I don't think Melvin Fellows has said anything of the sort about the Illini.

Heck, If I were Chris I'd visit USC. I'd go to Hawaii, Pepperdine, Oregon, and Miami also. Why Not? Beautiful campuses with Hot Chicks is always a good thing when you're a High School Senior.
Bottom line is this "recruitment " is over. Anybody that doesn't believe that Chris is solid TOSU should ignore this thread for the next year until after signing day, then breath a sigh of relief. Chris' Coach is a "Buckeye" kind of guy, and in particular, a "Tressel" kind of guy. No way that Coach Culliver wants his prize pupil anywhere but here, and Chris feels the same way. Let him have his fun, then we'll all have "our" fun watching him in the S&G.

I am 110% with Woody on this. If you are blessed to be pursued by many schools for your services you absolutely without a shadow of a doubt take all 5 visits. Even if you are 100% you know the school you want to go to... You go to experience everything, make sure that the school you like is a better fit, and enjoy this small window in your life when people are chasing you.
I hope he goes to USC and everywhere else he wants to visit and finds the school that is best for him.
From a larger view unless there was some type of pressure (limited schollies, late in the recruiting process, etc) I would advise kids not to issue a verbal until they have taken their visits..
