His coach encouraged Corey to move up his commitment because teams were filling up their classes. I don't think he was referencing ASU. Corey may go there, but USC and OSU have to be considered favorites at this time.

Where is everyone getting the information that USC and tOSU are his 2 favorites? I can provide links to articles that say he has a top 3 - not a top 2. Can someone please provide me a link?
I think his coach told him that for 2 reasons:
1.) His coach was getting sick of all of the calls from the 35 universities that were recruiting him and by narrowing his list of colleges, the coach would have less to deal with.
2.) Certain high school coach's want their players to go to tOSU, USC, Michigan, ND because then it makes them look good as a coach. It's kind of like a star on their report card and gives them bragging rights. ASU isn't in that echelon - yet. I'm hoping Erickson can change that.
Adams has said that he doesn't plan on making a decision until after his high school football season, so hopefully ASU can put up a good showing against Georgia and USC which will help our position. Obviously you guys play USC too and I think Adams will be watching us all very closely throughout the season.

I think his coach is more concerned about Corey missing the boat by waiting too long. Schools are starting to fill up their classes alot sooner than in years past. I did not say ASU is out of it. Good luck Corey!

I thought people read way too much into the coaches comments..
Sounds like a coach who just wants his kid to have the ability to choose whichever school he wants, and not be in position where a couple of his favorite schools have no room for him.. thus not allowing him to make the choice

Because I'm not a Virginia football player I'd highly consider ASU

Corey Adams did another visit to ASU again today to tour their new indoor practice facilities. ASU used to go up to Flagstaff, AZ every year to practice in the cooler weather, but now they will stay in Tempe to practice indoors.

No question that the comfort level you can build with a recruit so close to school is a big advantage.
