I'm pretty sure watchiny'all got the joke. He was just pointing out that his father couldn't kick him out of the house if he wanted to.

Transferring transforms 2-sport star
Sims making the grade and feeling less backlash after his parents have him change schools.
Tom Markowski / The Detroit News
ORCHARD LAKE -- In some ways Dion Sims is glad to see the last 12 months pass. The insensitive e-mails have nearly stopped. The snide remarks, if only made behind his back, have diminished.
Sims is comfortable in his new surroundings and ready to get on with his life, academically, athletically and socially.
Sims, 16, transferred from U-D Jesuit to Orchard Lake St. Mary's in September 2006 because his parents were not pleased with his academic performance.

Schools such as Miami (Fla.), Michigan, Michigan State and Ohio State are recruiting Sims in both sports. Florida, Indiana and UCLA are recruiting Sims to play basketball. Others, like Iowa, are recruiting him for football.
"As of right now I want to do both, if I can work it out," Sims said. "If they said I could only do one, it would be football."

FWIW
Been told that MSU is not a contender at all.
At the current moment, his decision will most likely come down to UM and UNC. However, 10 months ago it was UM or GT... There is some pressure from the family to "spread his wings" outside the state. That being said, his father works for UM in some administrative capacity so there are ties to UM as well.

Based on need and his high school, I'm surprised we haven't been pursuing Dion as a TE.
I know it has been said that Dion projects as a WR here, but everywhere else I have seen he's been listed as a TE. What makes him project as a WR rather than a TE at the next level? Not a good enough blocker? Doesn't have the frame to add the weight necessary? Not interested in becoming a TE?

Of course, if he's going to play both sports | |
