9. DION SIMS, Orchard Lake St. Mary's jr. WR-TE-DB (6-5, 220) - Had to sit out last season after transferring from Detroit U-D Jesuit. Considered the state's best prospect at tight end, Sims is sure-handed and dangerous in the red zone.

Early TE targets look to be Hazelett and Sims... and both would be very nice to have.

I didn't realize that there were rules of sitting out a year even during high school. Any word on his schools of interest?

He projects as a WR despite his size. Think Stoney...
As for schools of interest...neither Rivals nor Scout list any schools of interest. In an interview with his father it is obvious Dion first has to decide if he will play football or basketball. A school that offers him in both could have an advantage. He loves Georgia Tech because of family in the area and Atlanta. The in-state schools will also be involved.
His dad sounds like a great guy and really has a good grasp on the recruiting process and how to help his son make the best decision.

That's great to hear. Hopefully his dad will be XP v2.0?

Seems a little thick for a SG. I think this may all go back to... how many 6'5" SGs are out there vs. the number of 6'5" 230lb WR/TE? Hopefully Aaron Gant and Taurian Washington can be good influences as they tell Dion their experiances of the change from St. Mary's to OSU.
