Mewhort's stock has been steadily rising after committing as a relative sleeper. Consistent camp performances and an apparent addiction to competition seem to be catching alot of people's attention. IMO, extreme competitiveness can only be good in an OL.  |

Certainly...I still wonder how rivals can't have him in their top 250 after seeing him in person? I know he didn't perform prior to the list being made, but 6'6 291 with his frame and OSU offer should solidify it. Plus he has exceptional polish at this stage and moves fairly well. No offense to Linsley at all (I think his rating is about right) but Jack is the better OL imo and is a top 100 type player. He has been very competitive as well and the only reason he is rated so low is because he commited early. If Jack waited and sent out film, he probably would have had 20+ offers. I'm glad he caught Bob L's attention though. Jack is a good reason to "trust the coaches"...they did an amazing job at finding him and getting an early offer out.
