I don't think so either. Hence the offer is mind-boggling.

I'm not going to say anymore in keeping with the rules of the forum. I won't be back in this thread, though. My point is that there are other players on the board who have shown more and who have more potential. The staff is getting a little carried away with this idea of offering kids who play on elite and/or championship HS teams. It is a logical error in division: just because the team is good, it doesn't mean that the player is good. Let's not forget that a lot of Ohio's best players (e.g. Glenville and Brookhaven) went up against subpar HS competition.

Shame on JT for recruiting champions.

When you show me your five national championship rings I'll begin to think you may be on to something, but until then I trust JT and the staff.

Please send your resume to JT as soon as possible so that you can get on staff and keep them from getting a little carried away .

I'll defer to the judgement of our staff over yours...

I've only seen him play in one game against a great team, so my previous post on Adam should be taken with a big grain of salt. I'm very surprised with this offer as I figured Ferrell and Studlien to be way ahead of Homan on the board. I would have to think he projects at DE or FB for the staff to offer. Could be wrong but I just think that Ferrell and Studlien are the better prospects. Beyond that guys like Dorian Bell are interested. Anyways I can't wait to see his junior film to get the whole story. Congrats on the offer though.

Why are you surprised when the offer came this early? And why do you think this must be an offer at DE or FB?
First, it is completely up in the air whether Ferrell or Studlien will even receive offers. And here we are, a couple of months before NSD, and Homan already has an offer. He got his offer sooner than his brother did. Enough said.
Secondly, have you seen this kid's film? No offense, but I have no idea why people question his ability to play LBer. His sophomore films were fantastic! Obviously a great hitter. Very physical. Moves better than Ferrell does. As I said earlier and as osugrad mentioned, this kid is a carbon copy of his bro except for lack of speed in his sophomore year. There's no reason why that can't change and perhaps he is much faster cuz we just offered.
If it doesn't work out at LBer, sure, he can potentially move down to FB, just like Klein would if he can't cut it at LBer. But to relegate this kid to a FB at this stage when he is clearly a great LBing prospect is silly.
