Newsome was easily the most impressive Glenville kid at the combine besides Hall--this includes Xavier Hines. He practiced as a DE, and in the 1-1 drills, he played much faster than his listed time. I think he's better suited to a 3-4 OLB spot, but has plenty of time to gain weight and move down.

Please tell me that the forty time is incorrect. If that is true I can see why a school down south would us slohio. I also love the stable of linebackers we get but how many offers a year go out to LB's. Sometimes it seems we have more of these guys than DB's. But if they keep turnin out great oh well.   |

Well, a Big 10 coach that used to be a HC in the super fast SEC thought Newsome was fast enough to offer early. Too early to worry about 40 times. |

The 2009 Glenville class already seems as/more talented than the 2008 class. And you've got to love the enthusiasm for tOSU from Newsome (and Hall). |

Perhaps in the wake of the C.Scott fiasco coach Ginn will let his guys declare earlier rather than later. I think it's safe to say the G-Ville "secret" is out of the bag.
disclaimer...I am not now or would I ever slam Scott for his choice. Fiasco lends to the "lock" talk about him and his actual pick.
