The size and speed of a WR with the vision and cutback ability of a running back. One word: PLAYMAKER.

Gotta love the fact that even when he goes up for balls, he's looking to get yards after the catch. Pretty rare for a receiver to be able to start making guys miss as soon as he hits the ground.

Hoops star gaining football interest
By Barton Simmons, Recruiting Analyst ? Rivals.com
Memphis (Tenn.) Harding Academy's Marlon Brown has spent much of his career as a guard, a shooting guard. As his high school athletic career develops, the junior may need to get used to people referring to him as a wide receiver as well. The 6-foot-5 205-pounder has always seen himself as a basketball star, but with some recent offers in football, he may need to start making room for a football career.
As a sophomore on the hardwood, Brown led his team with 16 points and seven rebounds per game. As a sophomore on the football field, Brown put up 780 yards receiving and eight touchdown grabs on 41 receptions. As a junior, Brown's domination on the football field has only increased. Now, he is coming to grips with his potential as a football player.
"Basketball's my favorite sport," Brown said. "I definitely want to play both in college."

While he has yet to pick up an offer in basketball, early indications are that he will have plenty of options on the football field.
"Tennessee, Oklahoma, Auburn and Ole Miss have already offered me," he said. "I went to the Tennessee-South Carolina game and it was real fun. I met all the coaches, watched the game and had a good time. The coaches are real nice and real energetic."
Though the challenge of playing two sports on the college level is not lost on Brown, he is confident he can handle it.
"It will be tough like my first year," he said. "After that, I think once I learn to deal with everything, it will be ok."
Despite the challenge, playing two sports has helped Brown by his ability to take the skills from the basketball court onto the football field.
"Basketball has helped me to know my surroundings better," he said. "On the football field I like to see everything and that's something I've learned on the basketball court."
Brown is considered a potential major college prospect in basketball, but his big frame and unique athleticism make him a special football prospect. His early list of favorites include Auburn, Alabama, Notre Dame and Tennessee.

I hear he also wants to play basketball in college so a school with a good basketball team should get an advantage. And for my money I think hes better then Julio Jones as well, though I thought both Green and Floyd were as well.

The kid won me over in the first few minutes of the video, he moves exceptionally well for his size, and his vision seems to be extremely good. He fits the Calvin Johnson/Dwayne Jarret/Braylon Edwards body type to a letter "t". After the catch though he is more like an explosive running back. Great combo to have and I hope to see it in S&G.
The kid is ridiculous.

WOW!!! Very impressive film. He is a man amongst boys on the field. It would be a major coup to get him out of the state of tennessee to come to tOSU. GO BUCKS!!!

You and Julio...but then again you, rivals, scout, espn, etc. In any event, I think the only real comparison between the two is size...2 different types of players.

Honestl Julio is one of the better players I have watched not just this year, but any year of a high school kid...

Really don't know what it is that sticks out above just how good he is...

For Brown to be being mentioned in same sentence as him, and for some to call him better, this kid is a good one...

Pretty impressive skillset. He's got length and elusive moves. Would love to see him in S&G.

I was just teasing...I didn't buy the hype at first with his video but as the year went on, I was a believer. Jones, Pryor, Bowers, and Adams are an unbelievably talented top 4. However, stearing it back to Brown, I am wondering about the competition though, as it did look pretty weak. Regardless, you can tell he has the tools...unbelievable lateral acceleration for his size.
