And I would rank Moore and Ware lower.. I have Hicks #1 and actually prefer Norwell to James at this time.. I think Norwell is nastier My top 5 in this way too early moment would be 1)Hicks 2)Turner 3)Norwell 4)Howard 5)James |

I just don't see anyway that Ware is not a top 5 player...
He looked great against Colerain, and it isn't just speed that gets him places it is his ability to break tackles, make guys miss, and then use his burst and speed... I really like Hicks don't get me wrong, but Ware is just that good... I am the opposite about James and Norwell... Top 5 I would go 1. Ware 2. Turner 3. James 4. Hicks 5. Norwell What is crazy about that list is 4 of them are from Cincy...Lets just hope that Tress can pull these kids in from an area we used to struggle in... After that I would go 6. Darryl Baldwin 7. Derrick Bryant 8. Mike Dorsey 9. Erik Howard 10. Not real sure, lots of guys like Givens, Talbott, Brown, Bryant, Smith, Robinson, Miller... Seems like another very good year for top end talent in Ohio... |

FWIW, here are four sleepers to keep an eye on. I'm not saying they will end up being OSU caliber, but none of them are being talked about much right now and they each have a chance to get into the top 25 in Ohio.
Devin Clodfelter (5-10 190 TB, Columbus Independence). As far as I can tell, he leads Ohio in rushing yards thus far this year with a nice combination of speed and physicality. Independence always seems to have a stud tailback, although none has yet done much in college (e.g., Erik Haw, OSU and Jackson St.; Jacob Ramsey, Cincinnati; Luther Nicholas, Urbana). Perhaps Clodfelter will break that trend. Marcus Rush (6-3 210 LB Cincinnati Moeller). Rush had a solid year as a sophomore, but was in classmate and fellow LB Nick Galvin's shadow. However, he has really stepped it up this year and may have a brighter future than Galvin. He compares favorably to former Moeller player Greg Jones, who now starts for MSU. Antonio Kinard (6-4 195 LB Youngstown Liberty). Kinard is overshadowed by seniors Fitzgerald Toussaint, Isaiah Bell, and Julius Ferrell, but Kinard is a prospect in his own right. Rangy and athletic, Kinard should burst onto the scene in the spring combines. Micah Robinson (6-3 240 DE Cleveland John Adams). John Adams has come out of nowhere this year, and Robinson is a big reason why. He has double-digit sacks on the year and has had some games where he's been completely dominant. In a great year for DEs in Ohio, Robinson is one you don't want to forget. |

Another 2010 kid getting a lot of early looks but not much interest from OSU is right here in Columbus:

B) His Scout profile shows a combine timed 40 of 4.78 C) He has plenty of time to improve upon his 40 D) 40 times are vastly overrated when it comes to matters of recruiting, IMO |

Tyson gully Rb 5'9 180
Akron Garfield 173 att 1,376 yds 8 avg 18 tds Inland District All Stars Division 1 1st Teamer RB Been hearing great things about him all season. I saw him play buchtel for the city title and it was the last city game in the rubber bowl where, Akron u plays. He was amazing. I knew he won the city 100 meters in track as a sophomore but, this kid is fast as heck with great vision. Some big ten and mac schools have been asking about him. He started as a freshmen so he must be special. Last edited by akronbuck; 11-17-2008 at 08:21 AM. |

Another sleeper to keep an eye on is Toledo Central Catholic's Nate Hobbs. Hobbs is a 6-0 180 cornerback/wide receiver who had a very nice year on both sides of the ball before his team was shockingly beaten in the first round of the playoffs. I think he'll end up in the Big Ten, no lower that a MSU-caliber program.
