With tha haul of DLmen we got in 2008, we have 3 potential DEs in Wells, Williams and Mobley. I agree that a rotation of DLmen throughout the game is the way to go, to keep fresh legs on the field. But we also do not want to overload the position, possibly scare off a kid like Turner, Gholston or the '10s, or create holes at other positions of need. Unless Carridine is a must get type of kid, he will probably have to wait and see until the staff comes up with some answers for the question above.

I view this situation kind the same way that I viewed the Martin and Thomas situation of 07'...We didn't end up getting Martin, but they were both the type that you take, and this year there is more of a need than that class, and so I would be all for taking 3 with Carradine, Fellows, and Newsome...
I agree that there are lots of questions, but the better the depth the easier to answer questions right??? 
I think Turner and Gholston are both kids that are buckeye leans...If they get scared by depth then some might question whether that is a kid you want in the program anyway...
Also have the chance to redshirt some of these guys to create seperation...

Plus Mobley or Rose could easily move to DT and Williams & Gibson could easily take a step back to play LB.
If the grades and attitude/coachableness are there, you go after all 3 of those guys. Nothing is certain, especially in college football. Injuries, transfers, trouble with the law, "unfaithful" coaches to their respective school, leaving early for the NFL, etc. I don't see us landing all three guys either (just gut feeling), so getting two of those guys would make me very happy. Anyway you look at it, pursue the trio.

My personal opinion is that Mobley ends up at DT and that Fellows potentially could, as could Rose. Williams could always end up at Viper, playing LB and DE, same with Thad Gibson. There is enough verstility to take 3 more DE type guys and with Carridine's athleticism, he could easily be a TE (though I think it would be a waste of his talent). If we can get all of Tank, Fellows, and Newsome (possible ATH?), we take 'em. However, we are going to have to wait and see with his grades.

I really liked Carradine's film but I think top 3 in the state might be pushing it..
You guys really have to get out to see Ricky Harris from Westerville South this year. In person he is one of the most impressive athletes I've ever seen. Once this kid is done dropping the excess weight that coaches are telling him he needs to lose to be quicker at DT he will be very hard to stop, I sincerely hope that the coaching staff can sway him back to an OSU lean bc he seems to really favor Illinois |

Stretching?? Maybe a little but i think most would agree he is in the top 5 or so prospects, and they are all very good, so maybe it is splitting hairs... |

Top 3 Players is much different from Top 3 Prospects...
Tank may very well fit on one, but no way on the other.
