Sorry, but that list is way off IMO. Barnett that low is beyond laughable.

Barnett is ranked 8th, how is that considered "that low" and being "ridiculous"..
The players ranked ahead of him all have a legit argument as being being better prospects..
Can you sit there and tell me with certainty that he's a better prospect than John Simon? Melvin Fellows? Justin Turner? Storm Klein? Chris Fields?

I agree that Barnett being ranked 8th is quite acceptable. That being said, I don't think you can put Chris Fields up there in that elite group. Fields has the potential to develop into a good situational player, but honestly Devon Terrence looked better on film, and he had to earn his offer at camp, at corner. I don't see burst, wastes too much motion and time taking short steps and plays against weak competition. I also don't like a position coach campaigning for an offer when there's reservation among the rest of the staff. Wait til summer camp, what's the hurry.

Barnett is a scary combo of speed, size, and great hips. CB's like him don't grow on trees. Becasue of that, yes....I do think he is far too low.
I LOVE the guys you mentioned, but I honestly think Hall and Simon are the only guys who could give him a run at that #1 overall spot.

I still support Duane. Those are his rankings. They are based on his evaluations.
Scout and Rivals are composites and are heavily influenced by the offer lists. Even our own lists are based on what we read and our review of the videos folks point us to. If any of us tried to come up with a list solely on our own I would wager it would be quite comical.
As for the best evaluations - those come from the advisers the major programs use and we can't afford them.

1. Fellows
2. Klein
3. Carradine
4. Simon
5. Hall
6. Fields
7. Turner
8. Barnett
9. Newsome
10. Payne
11. Wood
Carradine favors us (no offer yet) and with Hall it's most likely just a matter of time. That would give us his top six, seven of his top eight, and eight of his top 11 players in the state. I don't see a major problem here.

Klein, Fields, and Turner? Yes. Fellows, Simon, and Barnett are probably the elite tier of prospects in Ohio followed fairly closely by guys like Hall, Wood, Turner, and Klein.

Based on what? I love CJ, but who here has seen game tape of him, and isnt basing the evaluation on measurables, limited highlight film, and the fact he's an early OSU commit?
Quite frankly, I dont see how anyone can come right out and claim that they know for a fact Justin Turner isnt as talented or more talented...
I dont see how they can say Storm Klein isnt every bit the LB prospect as CJ is at CB... How is CJ more of an elite prospect than Marcus Hall??
Maybe some of you have seen gametape of all these guys... i certainly have not.. and based off offers, measurables, highlight film, and OSU interest.. i can not say that CJ Barnett is anymore of an elite prospect than Storm Klein or Justin Turner or Marcus Hall..
Fields.. yea, id put CJ over him... but Chris is a very nice prospect.. i totally disagree that he's destined for just a "situational role"...
And while i think he's not as good of a prospect as Barnett.. Duane having one 7th and one 8th doesnt have me up in arms..
