I agree as well. From what I've been told there may be some other issues at play here as well that OSU and others may be waiting to receive word. Nothing that Chad has control of however.

Chad picked up a Michigan offer but says tOSU is still his clear favorite. He scored 1190 on the SAT.

Defensive back Chad Hagan (Canonsburg, Pa./ Canon-McMillan) has four scholarship offers as Michigan, North Carolina State and Buffalo have recently joined Illinois in extending Hagan an offer.

However, Hagan feels Ohio State may also soon offer and it is the Buckeyes that sit at the top of the 6-1, 210-pounder's list.

"(Ohio State defensive backfield) coach (Paul) Haynes tells me how much he wants me to play safety for him," Hagan said. "I think I'll be getting an offer from them pretty soon. Ohio State is still my favorite."

Hagan played both safety and running back during his junior season. He made 63 tackles and rushed for 800 yards and 12 touchdowns. Hagan had the cast removed from his left leg on Thursday, but he is still recovering from a stress fracture of the shin.

Hagan has Big Ten's attention -

"Michigan offered on Wednesday," Hagan said. "[Ohio State defensive backfield] Coach [Paul] Haynes tells me how much he wants me to play safety for him. I think I'll be getting an offer from them pretty soon. Ohio State is still my favorite."

In addition to Ohio State, Illinois, Michigan and Penn State, Wisconsin is another Big Ten school in contact.

"Wisconsin is recruiting me to play running back," Hagan said. "They are probably going to send an offer."

I'm not really familiar with SAT scores. Grades aside, is that a good enough score to be accepted into OSU?

What athletes must achieve to gain entry is well known to be different from a regular schmo. Nothing wrong with that - these are athletic scholarships, not Rhodes Scholarships.
Also, you also really cannot fame the question as "Grades Aside" because the eligibility requirements run on a sliding scale - higher GPA reduces the need for a high SAT score.

As for those regular schmos ...

OSU has offered. Nearly committed, but will decide late fall or winter. Offer came after Chad called Fickell to tease him about UM offering first (OSU was planning to call tomorrow with offer).

Kid posted a 4.29 at a Scout combine...Haven't seen any flim, so don't know if he is that fast. But I really wanna see some flim on Hagan.

That has to be hand timed. He might be in the 4.3's but I'm skeptical of that due to his size. 4.4's? That would be nice.

Scout typically uses hand-timing, Rivals often uses SPARQ & electronic measurements.

Rivals has him at 4.45. Assuming that's electronic, I'll take it.

HE RAN THE FASTEST WITH A STRESS FRACTURE N HIS SHIN!!!!! Hand timed or not that is impressive...being the fastest at that combine being 85-90%.

Yeah I knew it was a hand timed and I knew the second time he ran slower. So I did figured it wasn't legit, but in the 4.4 range at 210 is very impressive. I just wonder if the kid might out grow saftey, and become an OLB, which we are stacked at.
