Look out for St. Paris Graham RB/WR/DB Nick VanHoose. He is a gifted athlete at 6'2 170 lbs. and he can flat out fly. I'm trying to get a 40 time but he was just severely under-utilized the past couple seasons and he is finally getting the ball. He had 280 yards and 3 TD's against Tipp City last weekend on 37 carries. I'm going to watch him tomorrow night and I will give a report. The area has fairly weak competition that will produce a D1 player here and there, but I think his talent will be difficult to ignore. He is fast but he doesn't lose speed off his cuts and gets upfield in a hurry. He can also catch the ball and has pretty loose hips in the secondary. He is rail thin but he can put on some good weight when he focuses on lifting in the offseason. He will get some D1 offers imo and he may just end up getting looked at by OSU.

I talked with a guy that is close to Robert Walton Jr out of Glenville who said that Robert was at the Spring Game and has heard from the coaching staff a lot and that they really, really like the kid.
He also said the kid's pushing 205+ over the 190 that he's been talked about on this site. Don't know how much of this is true at this point. The guys never really seemed as though he's someone "in the know", but thought I'd put that out there... I've seen some film and I think I'm going to see him live on Saturday against Reynoldsburg, but from what I've seen I really like. His reported 4.5 looks about right... He's explosive when hitting the hole and has the agility to make the first guy miss, but doesn't have an extra gear to break away. Seems like a very strong kid, change of pace type back... This is as talented a year for in-state recruiting as I can ever remember. I love the fact it's so deep on the DL. As the college landscape is turning more to the spread and wide open offenses, it's getting even more important to have a fast and athletic frontline and we are def. building on that. Guys like Fellows, Nathan Williams, Hayes, Miller can change games off the edge. I'm exciting to see Avon Lake's line (esp. Mihalik) tomorrow against an athletic offense in Brunswick.
The one question I have for all of you....right now we are pretty deep with younger kids at WR including Tyrone and James in the '10 class....do you think the staff still goes after both A.J. and Ed Killingsworth? I can only imagine Tyrone and Ed in the red zone together! What looks to be the deepest and weakest spots so far for this recruiting class? At first glance it looks like DL is stacked but RB is lacking some. Thoughts?

I got to see VanHoose last night and man is he a talent. I see a Big 10 caliber player at least, though his name is just starting to surface. He is a toothpick but he'll put on weight in college when he settles on football (he plays bball as well). His acceleration and ability to find the seam and hit full boar is something else. The only question mark may be his position, as he isn't likely going to be an every down back but I think he would make a heck of a slot receiver, as he has good hands. Here is a video of one of his more impressive runs (he had 180 yards last night), it's the first run of the video.

2010 Dalton Hartley - Deleware Hayes DT75, In the Locker Room with Dalton Hartley This is a good friend of mine, who I play with at Delaware Hayes, Dalton Hartley. Dalton is a junior and a captain on the team. I can't read the article because I don't have premium, but I'm sure I could just ask Dalton whats going on with his recruitment. Dalton has pretty good size at about 6'1", 270 lbs, and boy does he have a motor. He isn't overly fast, but hes pretty quick for his size. He plays Nose so doesn't make too many plays, but is asked to command a double team, which he does all the time. Dalton also plays center, and is very good at that. I think he had about 10 pancakes last week, but his future is most likely at DT. As far as schools go, I'm not really sure who he prefers. Last edited by SCBuck13; 09-30-2009 at 09:27 PM.

Shaq Petteway (aside from Jordan Hicks) is the best linebacker in the state. He has offers from WVU and MSU. The buckeyes need to get on this kid before it is to late.
