'10 OH P John Lloyd
Really starting to sound like this kid could be the next option if Hagerup chooses Michigan or Wisconsin...

8/28 - John punted 7 times for 313 yards = 44.7 average. 4 punts inside the 20 with longs of 69 and 50.
Since John is 225 pounds, he also started at LT. It was the first time I have seen an OL player punt. It was great seeing him rip off his blocking gloves and toss them to the sidelines so he could receive the punt. John is my cousin and I plan to provide weekly stat updates. 9/11 - John had another good night Friday with a 50 and 52 yard punt. He also kicked off for the first time and it was a touchback.
John also spent Saturday on the sidelines of the Michigan/Notre Dame game as a guest of Michigan, which ended with him in the locker room with the players. |

On a wet, muddy field, John Lloyd punted well again Friday night. Punted 6 times for a 45.7 average. Long was 70...yes, 70. That's standing on his own 5 and putting it to the other 10. Huge for a high school kid, or anyone else.
So far this season, Johnny is averaging 43.8 per punt, which is better than his state leading 42.6 last year. By comparison, Hagerup (offered by the Bucks, but committed to Michigan today) is averaging 34.5. Door is open... BTW...John spent the day Saturday on the sideline of the UC Bearcats as a recruit and chatted with Bengal punter Kevin Huber while he was down there. |

Hopefully your cousin gets an offer. Thanks again for the updates!

6'2" 225. That size at punter reminds me of Reggie Roby. Roby looked way too big to be kicking. I kept waiting for him lay out a return man. lol

I hope this does not come off negative to any previous or current recruits, but I love it when kickers are not just kickers at the HS level. I loved that Groom, Trap, and other played at a high level other positions then kicking. Good luck to the young man and I hope a lot of doors open in his favor.

Due to a blowout, John only punted once Friday night but it was directional, for 49 yards and inside the 20.
Season Stats = 20 punts, 44.1 average, 10 inside the 20 (50%), long of 70. |

John punted three times last Friday in the rain = 50, 46 and 40 yards.
Here's a clip of the 70 yarder from Week 5. New school record, breaking his previous record of 69 from earlier this season. |

Due to a blowout, John punted once for 54 yards into the wind. He is averaging 44.4 yards for the season. John played LG for the first time along with LT and holder. During halftime, John warmed up with some field goals making one from 55 yards before warming up with some long punts.
A Miami (OH) coach attended the game to scout John. |
