OG- Aundrey Walker- Glenville (2011)- It is now a lot more clear why Walker is considered by the Glenville staff to be at the same level as 2009 Rivals100 prospect Marcus Hall. Walker is a gigantic 6-foot-5, 330-pound offensive lineman that punished Mooney defenders from the right guard and right tackle spots. He even showed some ability to pull, locate a defender, and put him into the ground. He had a near flawless day.

I doubt it. Although he played a decent amount last season, he was not a starter. Of course, that didn't stop J.T. Moore from getting a scholarship offer on September 1st last year.

After some discussion in the Bucknuts Front Row forum this week about Glenville's Aundrey Walker, I broke down his scrimmage tape versus Cardinal Mooney.

At 6-5, 330 poundsWalker can engulf his opponents with his size, but what was nice to see on film is that he could move his feet pretty good as well. You will see Aundrey "blow up" a defender while trapping at guard and you will also see him in pass protection as a tackle. During the scrimmage, Walker was rotated at guard and tackle. Young OL prospects who are tall inevitably will need to learn how to be "knee benders," and this is the case for Aundrey as well. Remembering that this is just a scrimmage and very early into Walker's development, all signs point to him being a well-sought after Division I prospect.

Just out of curiosity, is Walker playing DT as well for Glenville?

I know he is full time at OG, and I'm almost positive that on at least some plays he was at DT. For being the first game of his junior season, against smaller, quicker, extremely well coached SI players I though he showed very well at OG. I would not be shocked if he is a preseason to 100 player. He should just maul some people this season, making for a great highlight film.

Yeah, he at least lined up at DT near the goalline vs. St. Iggy.

By Greg Ladky...has not had much contact with OSU except for some contact with Coach Johnson...was rooting for USC as he grew up a fan of Reggie Bush...interested in hearing from Texas, Florida, USC, Ohio State, Alabama and Georgia...has been offered by Michigan State in writing.

Walker has been offered by Sparty, looks up to and tries to emulate Marcus Hall, and is not much of a Buckeye fan. He says that he may be more interested in following a different path than most of the high profile Glenville recruits. Although he does say distance will more than likely be a factor and would like to be somewhere his mom can see him play.

Cleveland Glenville junior offensive lineman Aundrey Walker is already drawing interest from college recruiters at this early stage of his career. Walker, an excellent student in the classroom, is being compared to former Glenville and current Ohio State player Marcus Hall. Bill Greene caught up with Walker at the school after practice and filed this report.

Like Coach Ginn always says, "enjoy the recruiting experience". There have been recruits that have said that before, and still end up at tOSU. He doesn't want to be seen as just another Glenville-OSU kid automatically, he wants to be treated as an individual and I say good for him. But in the end, it's still OSU's battle to lose.

Statements like that might also help open up other coaches eyes and make them more prone to visit and recruit G'Ville, increasing the spectrum of coaches coming to see their players and helping lesser known players continue their education and athletic careers. I wouldn't be too worried about these statements at all........quite yet.
