Ohio State interested in Northwest outside linebacker Rasheen Jones

Ohio State is interested in having Northwest junior outside linebacker Rasheen Jones attend its Junior Day this month, according to Northwest coach Chad Murphy.

Jones, who is 6 feet 3 and 225 pounds, has offers from UC, Louisville, Kentucky and Bowling Green.

Murphy said in the past Ohio State had shown significant interest under the previous coaching staff last season.

Jones plans to visit Junior Days at UK Feb. 18 and Louisville Feb. 25, Murphy said.

That's a big boy. Not much film, but seemed to play close to the line. I'm not familiar with Northwestern and their competition? I didn't see any production numbers.

I wonder where he is on the wish list?

I guess we'll find out after the junior day.

Northwest is Division II in football. They play in the FAVC and their division is not exactly known for having world-beaters, generally speaking.

Don't know much about Jones though, certainly doesn't mean he isn't talented.
