To add yourself, go to:

User CP > Edit Profile

Down at the bottom, look for the field to enter your gamertag. Do so and submit. It may take up to 10 minutes for you to appear at the link above, but once you do, it will automatically update your info on the site going forward. There are links to add friends from the site to your gamer list on XBL, send messages, etc.

PS3 users, don't feel left out, I'll continue to watch for similar functionality for you guys as well.

No one fret, no load impact on the board with this mod.

Does anyone here use the wifi adapter to get into live? My buddy lives in an apt building that includes wifi, but it is set up like a hotel, when you have to log in via the net to get it to work... anyone have experience w/ a set up like this

I do not have experience with wireless, but I've used an apartment's free internet (not wireless) and the connection was awful. I ended up paying for my own internet.

The wifi adapters are good if the wireless source is nearby, but walls and floors definitely have an impact on its efficiency.

he says he has a real speedy connection... my research just turned up getting a crossover ethernet cable, connecting that btw the laptop (connected to the internet) and the xbox... and sharing the connection on the laptop

I use the wireless adapter made by XBox. For the most part it is fast and effective. The router in my house is downstairs, directly below my 360, which is upstairs. Sometimes (usually in the heavily populated games, such as COD) the wireless card will get a little overwhelmed and give me a "connection interrupted" message in the middle of an online game.

Also, do you know if the NAT settings on the wifi at your friends apartment are set to open? This was the issue I orginally had with my wireless card. I had to go in through the router and disable the UPNP and set the NAT to open.

the NAT is the biggest problem for people trying to play live. If it starts giving you problems just restart the router, and if that doesn't work, make sure it's set to open like you said. I found that this process works pretty well.
