RULES
1. The league will begin after NCAA 09 is released, and a roster file is released. If you want, we can also discuss the possibility of slider adjustments (especially for QB accuracy/defensive pressure)
2. 7 minute Quarters on All-American Difficulty
3. Would like to complete 2 "Game Weeks" per 1 "Real-Time Week" (7 days) at a minimum
4. As far as cheesing goes we'll run on the honor system. Don't do anything you wouldn't want done against you. Coaches are expected to play a realistic game of football i.e. no 25 yard drop backs, running more than 3 plays, putting a WR at QB, etc....If I deem that someone is cheesing/cheating, I will determine the proper "punishment" depending on how severe the offense is. It'll probably go something like this; First time = Recruiting Restrictions. Second time = Possible Game Forfeiting
5. For 4th down, let's be realistic and not go for it every time. It makes sense if it's short yardage, down by points or in between FG/Punting situations. Otherwise, 4th and 8 on your own 30 doesn't make any sense. Let's keep this league as sim-like as possible
6. Your team needs have at least 2 HUM vs. HUM games per year (Home and Home Series, that I am in progress of setting up)

My 2 cents to the rules...

1) Cool with waiting for rosters. There will definitely need to be slider adjustments. Not just for human play, but I can waste the computer on All American (at least in years past) without playing with sliders. Heisman is another story, but it just seems like the computer cheats there.

2) 7 minutes is perfect.

3) I say we play as fast as we can. Nobody can get ahead anyway since we need the entire weeks games complete to move on. 2 a week is a nice goal, but we all know there will be times with more and others where someone is gone for a week.

4) If you cheese I will personally hunt you down and kick you in your onion bag.

5) Agreed, don't try and re invent the game. Anything 4th and 3 or worse in your own end early in the game is not realistic. The only pass I could give is if you are a huge underdog.

6) That sounds fair. How about we pair up everyone every 2 years randomly for a mandatory out of conference home/home series. Then leave the rest up to us (should only leave a few without another conference opponent). That way there is not mass chaos trying to sign up people for pre-conference games.

7) I have no problem with replacements as long as they take over the same team as the dropout.

I am in the process of working on the Home and Home series (That's what I mean by 2 hum vs. hum games). I am drawing teams out of a hat to make it fair.

I was just making sure it wasn't some random "hey, wanna play me?" thing. Teams out of a hat is perfect.

I've been wanting to do a league like this for years. I'm getting excited.

I vote that the first season we keep the real schedules, then start the h&h series after that.

Ohio is going to be a tough place to recruit....

I don't think we should do that since West Virginia and North Texas would not play a single human player all year. Although I think we keep some of the head to heads that already exist. OSU vs. USC, and Miami, Fl vs. Florida should not be changed and those 4 teams don't need another human team since they have 2 games already set up.

So, in other words North Texas and West Virginia have to play eachother. Then there will be 8 teams with 1 human game, and those can be picked from a hat.

BTW...congrats on getting OSU.
