I can't either. I have to play a traditional offense or I am terrible. I always try to pick fast QB's and end up being terrible with thme.

Whobe is going to get his stuff done tonight. If everyone else is done, I'm going to advance us to week 2 when I get home from work. ~10:15 PM EST.

How competitive has recruiting been for you? How many of your targets are just vs the cpu?
We're only in preseason mode, but there are 2-3 user teams listed for virtually our entire top-100, and over a third of those prospects have half of the prospect's top 10. We also have a lot of crossover in pipeline states though. I think I have one target out of 35 - not counting sleepers - that isn't a user battle. I'm curious to see what other dynasties are like, particularly for when we start another. |

Very competitive amongst the elite teams, regardless of location. Quote:

I almost lost to Oregon, beat them by 3 in OT
they hit about 5 lucky ass 3rd and long passes (talking 15+) to stay in the game |

The reason that I'd like to check out Varisty sliders is because the overall feel of Varsity is smoother, and the ridiculous CPU boosts at random points in the game just don't happen very often in Varsity. The guy that did the varisty sliders didn't have special teams or penalties posted, so I stole those from a set of AA sliders. I'll also try to get a few games in tomorrow morning, with these sliders, but I really need your help with this. I have my family and my fiance's family coming to the house Saturday to meet for the first time, and I've got a [censored]load of housework to get done this week. I don't know how much time I'll have to test these out. Plus, I'd rather hear a yay or nay from you guys, than test it out myself, only to hear a bunch of whining about the sliders two days later. ![]() Offense User/CPU QB Accuracy 10,10 Pass Blocking 40,15 WR Catching 30,45 RB Ability 50,50 Run Blocking 45,50 Defense User/CPU Pass Coverage 55, 60 Pass Rush 100,90 Int's 35,45 Rush Def 30,50 Tackling 45,40 FG Power 10 / 10 (5 for each side may have been a tad too low) FG Accuracy 25 / 45 (at less than 30, the CPU was missing more than every other FG wide right or left) Punt Power 40 / 40 Punt Accuracy 25 / 50 (lowered it for human to get a little variety in my punts instead of putting it right where I want it) KO Power 55 / 55 Penalty sliders: Offsides 100 False Start 100 Holding 50 (over 60 and there are holding penalties galore) Facemask 55 (over 65 and there are too many facemasks IMO - took it down to 55 awhile ago, but forgot to edit) OPI 100 (I still don't see enough of this called) DPI 100 (I still don't see enough of this called either) KR/PR Interference 70 Clipping 55 Intentional Grounding 70 Roughing the Passer 65 Roughing the Kicker 70 Last edited by IronBuckI; 07-27-2009 at 08:55 PM. |

General rule of thumb I've found is one per head/per day. Mix it with every drink starting at breakfast, by 3PM you'll all be best friends. |

To be honest, don't like the sliders, game is to easy.
I like the past sliders as is. Does some bull happen, yea, but that counteracts CPU stupidity. I have had very competitive games, and I enjoy it. The thing is, I don't mind losing to the computer, it makes all games interesting. Does it [censored] me off when I lose? Hell yea! But it is better then winning 123 - 16. Anyway, those that hate losing, well they always have restarts and that is just fine with me! They can have the trophy... On a side note, if you feel the game is smoother, then these sliders may be better for human vs. human games. The only difference I really noticed was the CPU inability to adjust to gimme plays and outside runs. Last edited by Whobebubba3; 07-28-2009 at 07:21 AM. |
