I think we'll push it back a day if necessary. I'd like to get back on track for sunday's deadline (for week 2) if possible.

Do I have a User/User game week 1?

I'm probably not going to be able to play the game until tomorrow; having some hectic nights lately. Eobuck...what's your availability tomorrow?

sorry, forgot to change that. His username is The King Guidou. Drop a PM to jthorp24 (BP) or Justin Thorp (XBL) if you can't get ahold of him, he's his friend. TKG is online fairly often though. If you're not at home, I can drop him a line to let him know you want to play tonight.

The sliders we are using worked good for me in my first game. I beat La Tech 37-7(with a late garbage time INT returned for a TD). The computer kicker seemed kinda week though. I gave up a ton of passing yards, but I was able to buckle down when the field got shortened.

La Tech should be weak. I've found them to be challenging but not outrageous in test games against the CPU, at least when playing B or above squads. We're always open to evaluation though if the live results turn out differently...

Sounds good, we'll be glad to have him, he just got unlucky with the timing. Between 12 daily lives, 4 user opponents and tough CPU opponents (at least for us southerners
), someone will likely bow out in the future. |

ESU & Miami are about to kickoff their home & home series, as the first user battle of this dynasty. Will edit with game details.
ESU stringing together some nice passes here, as well as a long scamper by their heisman candidate QB. Made a costly pick in the redzone on 3rd & short. Opening play, franchise RB Washington finds some running room off left tackle (ESU D guessed inside or right). Got to the 3rd level, hesitated and let the safety fly by, and he was off to the races for a 9 yd td. 7-0 Miami. ESU stuffed for a loss right, the D sniffs out the screen left, and gets to the qb on 3rd. Punt returned to ESU 36 yd line. ESU sells out for the run and annihilates Beamen before he can complete the PA pass. Short underneath on 2nd down to make 3rd & 6. Finds his man on a slant, but its broken up nicely. Converts the FG. 10-0 w/ 3:35 left. Jefferson breaks a few tackles on the KR but is stopped at the 19. Swing pass for short gain. Kane sneaks outside for a first down... funky camera yields him an extra 5 (hate that thing). Two short runs, set up 3rd & 6. Goes deep on 1v1 coverage and is picked off (unlucky, 50-50 ball). And at 10-0 in the 1st quarter the connection is lost ![]() recreating scenario now, got the run TD. just stuffed his run with 1 man rushing. Now I can't intentionally pick it off, with intentionally bad passers by Joe ![]() And now we've lost the connection again. Not even a slight delay to try and re-establish connection. boom, it's just gone. one sec joe, i'm going to try resetting my router and modem. you do the same if you can.Last edited by jwinslow; 07-29-2009 at 08:05 PM. |

I'll post a WTF as to what happened.....

I guess our connection dropped. It should be pretty easy to recreate 10-0 w/ like 1 min left in the 1st. See my XBL pm.
