I say tough [censored] if they have a Bye on Week 12. Cuz everyone knew that would be a week in play and should have planned around it. Wk 13/14 I can understand because in previous seasons we wouldn't have those weeks count.

So basically we make a rule to be fair, then tweak it at the end to revert back to the unfairness. That's hard to understand.
It makes sense to allow 2 of the three weeks. There's no unfairness invovled in that. Is there?

The reason we are allowing the Week 13 & 14 thing was because it was never clear when we were drafting regarding the schedules that we were using Week 13 unlike in previous seasons where we normally stopped our regular season schedule of the week of the Ohio St/Michigan game.

Regarding Week 12... that is my opinion. I am not a dictator, just the President So I go with majority opinion. If people say they are cool with it, then that is how we are going to roll.

I concur with El Presidente. A guy was drafted knowing that week 12 was part of the playoffs and that he would not be available that week.

1 - I didn't want the season to end in Week 11, so since we had time we decided to use 2 weeks for each playoff series.
2 - Using 2 weeks also helps the 'better' team win as it lowers variance somewhat.
3 - Using Bowls seemed to drag the season a bit too long. So instead of the Bowls we are using Week 13 & 14
4 - Using 2 weeks also allows someone to overcome a players bye week. Like what if your stud QB is off on Week 10? At least you get his Wk 11 performance added in the scoring.

Those were off the top of my head.

I think those first 3 reasons are made up, and the last one goes against this new rule. If you're trying to give players a chance to overcome a bye week, then give them the chance to overcome the bye week.
