Buckeye Football Signees at 2005 State Track Meet
Big congrats to these guys for their performance at the Ohio High School State Track meet this weekend:
Division I: Ted Ginn Sr. - Cleveland Glenville State champs in DI boys with 70 points Brian Hartline - State champ in the 100m hurles (14.09 sec) and the 300m hurdles (36.69 sec) Freddie Lennix - 4th place in the 100m dash (10.99 sec.); running a leg on the 4x200 meter relay, which won and set a state record time of 1:25.09; finishing 2nd in the 200m dash, with a time of 21.75 sec; and running a leg of the 4x400 meter relay, which won with a time of 3:16.58 Jamario O'Neal - ran a leg of the 4x100 meter relay, which won with a time of 41.67 sec; and running a leg of the 4x400 meter relay, which won with a time of 3:16.58 Division II: Brian Robiskie - finished 2nd in the 400m dash with a time of 49.63 sec. |

Congrats also to these OSU track commits:
Jeff See, who won the 800 and 1600. Ayrizanna Favours, who won the 4x200, 400, 4x400, and placed 2nd in the 100. There may be other state winners committed to OSU, I just know of these two. |

Jeff See, by the way, ran a 4:06 mile earlier in the year. This is the fastest time in the nation by a high schooler this year. He "only" ran 4:11 this past weekend. He followed that up with a 1:51 winning 800 time, which was 2 seconds slower than the time he ran in the 4*800 relay team the day before! Not a bad weekend at all... Within the next 2 weeks, he should be going for the hallowed 4:00 mile mark at nationals.
(If someone wants, they can split this into the "Jeff See" thread, since I don't see him suiting up for the football team in the fall...) |
