You think this was the first time in his life he was ever in possession of crack and MJ? Give me freakin' break.
I just hope he wasn't dealing to any players or students - but I would certainly look into that at this point.
I do agree that I hope he gets an opportunity to straighten his life out, and that maybe somebody else learns from his mistakes and won't make it themselves.
I know if my kid was on that team, I'd want to know who else, if anyone, in the organization knew about this guy's drug habit.

I think what you posted is what we've all been feeling here. I'm going with the idea that he's an addict, not a pusher. As far as the pot goes, you don't have to be an "addict." The crack leads me to believe that he is one. Hopefully, something good will come out of this "bad." Peace.

AKRON Akron Police said they arrested Buchtel High School football coach and Canton native Claude Brown on Monday on one count of sexual battery involving a 17-year-old female student.
Police said Brown, 41, was arrested without incident after school at 4:45 p.m. He is also a gym teacher at Buchtel. The 17-year old girl is a student at the school.

Akron - Buchtel High School football coach Claude Brown inspired his players to excel -- not only on the gridiron but in life. Players considered him to be a father, a mentor and a hero. More than 25 of them earned college scholarships while playing for Brown.
Now, Brown is wearing a uniform his players wouldn't want to don -- an orange jail jumpsuit. He admitted Monday to having a two-month long sexual relationship with a 17-year-old female student at the school, Akron police Lt. Rick Edwards said.
The teenager and Brown, who is married, had sex at least three times between Dec. 15 and Feb. 23 , Edwards said.

Former Buchtel coach pleads guilty

Former Buchtel High School football coach Claude Brown pleaded guilty today in Summit County Common Pleas Court to two counts of sexual battery involving a 17-year-old student.
Judge Marvin Shapiro will sentence Brown on May 16. Brown faces a maximum 10 years in prison for the third-degree felonies.
Brown was tested for HIV and was deemed to be a sexually-oriented offender who has to register his address with the county sheriff. He also forfeited his teaching license.
Prosecutors said Brown had consensual sex with the student at least three times between Dec. 15 and Feb. 23.
