Ordered my tickets for the state finals yesterday. Hope to see Big Red up there again.

Big Red capped off their 4th consecutive undefeated regular season last night, beating Baltimore Mt. St. Joe's 34-20. The Red will play New Concord John Glenn in the 1st round of the playoffs next Saturday night at Harding Stadium.

some major schools should be looking at tamawi mcgee and zach collaros. mcgee is the best running back that i have seen this year, and collaros should be Mr. football but does not have the stats to be considered. He is the best qb in the stat

I agree on both accounts.
Tamawi verbally committed to Toledo before the season started, but he is now getting serious attention from Big 10 and Big East schools.
Zach is just unreal. He is the best HS QB I have ever seen... even better than Mauk, imo. The guy just finds ways to win. Also, he is a shutdown corner, great at coming up and playing the run (sure tackler) and he returns punts.... lol.

I notice Collaros is finally on the Rivals database. BG, Kent, Miami, Toledo, and Youngstown State are listed as schools in the running. I am surprised that even a lower level Big Ten school like Indiana or Northwestern aren't showing any interest. After watching him last year, I thought maybe somebody like WVU would show some interest. Collaros is going to make a MAC school very happy.

Yep... I think he is still holding out hope that a Big 10 school offers him. I think WVU would be a great fit for him.
Sometimes, you have to look beyond just numbers put up in a combine or the way a guy's release is... maybe if these scouts actually watched a guy play instead of looking for minor weaknesses where they can find them, they would be better off.
Zach has major Division I college QB written all over him. It is obvious to everyone who has taken the time to go see him play.

Collaros should be a candidate for Mr.Ohio. Yea I know his stats aren't comparable to others, but this kid is a winner. I heard Mcgee tore it up at Toledo's camp. IMO, Collaros could play for any D1 college in the country, even the mighty Buckeyes.

While Zach's yardage and TD numbers might not be staggering compared to others because we play in a "run first" style of offense, check out his stats for the year:
Passing: 85-of-123 for 1,479 yards, 18 touchdowns and only two interceptions
Rushing: 64 carries for 340 yards and 8 touchdowns (that includes times he has been sacked)
On defense, he has returned an interception and a fumble for TDs.
He has also kicked two extra-points and scored a 2-point converstion on the ground.
Oh... did I mention that he is 25-0 as the starting quarterback?
That is what you call an effecient QB.

Big Red beat John Glenn 26-10 last night in the opening round of the D3 playoffs. Big Red played their worst game of the season, but still held on. Big Red will square off with Canton South next Saturday.
R&B Attack, who were the 5 starters that didn't play?

Tamawi McGhee (RB/LB)
Dan Vogel (WR)
Anthony Gossett (TE/S)
Sean Campbell (C) played very limited action.
Donovan Fletcher (DT) - I don't think he will be back... discipline problems.
I don't know if there were any others, but these were the ones that I noticed. Obviously, these are key guys... it sort of helps explain the horrible performance on Saturday (it was horrible).

I Need A Ride To Mt. Union Saturday!!
Hey all you fellow BP'ers! I live in Columbus, OH, and am wondering if there are any other BP'ers out there in the Columbus area who are gonig to the big red game at mt. union stadium on saturday evening. I can be off of work by 4pm, so as to give us three hours to get there, which should be plenty. I of course would be willing to give whatever gas money is deemed appropriate by the driver. If there's any of you out there who might be able to help me out, please send me an email grgah2@yahoo.com, and Roll Red Roll!!
