Anyway, they can only hold games at sites that put a bid in to host a game. Plus you gotta consider crowd size, and other games being played. |

new philly is just to small for the fan base that will be attending the game.
as far as the torrence brothers they are good but i do not think that they were as good as collaros, mcgee or davis. it just goes to show you how lucky big red is to have all of these great players even though they are not getting recruited heavily like other kids that they continue to outperform. |

i was at the game. i thought they were decent. big red played IMO better athletes from mt. saint joes. i think devon could be a wide out, but i think it might be a while before you see him play. devoe could come in and play special teams. he tackles well but got blocked alot. big red's runningback averaged over 9 yards a carry running the ball right at devoe.
collaros ran down devon from behind last night when he caught a tipped pass. IMO collaros and mcgee were the best players on the field. Mcgee is a better running back and better linebacker than Devoe. WHen Collaros coverd Devon he held him to 1 catch for 8 yards. |

your intittled to your opinion.
was you at the game. mcgee and collaros made those two look silly at times when they were trying to tackle them 1 on 1. as far as the line of scrimmage big red did dominate it.Devoe did not shed blocks well. and when #43 came into the game to play fullback he pancaked whatever linebacker he hit includeing Devoe. and he is only a sophomore. Those people can talk about how good they are but they obviously did not see every player to say that he is the best in any division i will go as far as saying this. Collaros is the best football player in the state. go watch him play you will have a different opinion then the one that you have now. the only problem is that steubenville plays team football they will not showcase one player. big reds coach will never single a player out. it is a team win or a team loss. he credits every player dressed. Mcgee is also one of if not the best running back in the state. he is every bit as good as herron. |

the team from new york definitly had better athletes then those two. seen them both.
as far the long touchdowns. the one only happened because of two penalties on the run. one Kid turn arouned and tackled the kid that had earlier caught Devon from behind. and a block in the back when another play had him pinned up on the sidelines. Devon did make some nice moves on the play and showed some good speed. as far as the other one becasue of injury big red played a db that has only played a handful of plays at db the whole year. he did a great job of covering him all night. on the play he jumped the slant route and the safety couldnt get over in time to help.it was a great throw by the qb the kid caught the ball and scored |

i would have to say that the reason is because they have not played against competition as good as those guys. like i stated before big red will not showcase any player. at one point i think over a three game stretch collaros was something crasy like 18-20 passing with 2 droped passes.he is that good but people have not seen him play and he does not throw the ball 30 times a game. he has all the intangables. some mac schools and some big east and probably some big ten school are looking at him.
mcgee verbaled to toledo before the season but have heard that big east adn big ten schools are now looking at him. he had 1500 yards this season and only played about half of the game because of blowouts. again you have to do yourself a favor and go watch them play. go to the next game against dover you will be in for a treat |

You were not at the game nor have you seen Collaros or McGhee play this season. EVERYONE that I have talked to (including Canton South fans) have said that Zach Collaros was by far the best player on the field. It isn't as if it was just because Big Red was a "better team". Zach was on an island with Devon for the majority of the first 3 quarters. Devon had 2 catches... one was for 8 yards (he was immediately tackled by Zach). The second one was a lucky tip that landed in the arms of Devon, somehow. There was NO ONE between Devon and the endzone and Zach RAN HIM DOWN FROM BEHIND. Tamawi made Devoe look foolish on many of his runs, though Tamawi still isn't even close to 100% (he had to come out of the game early in the 3rd quarter after having averaged 10 yards a carry). The Torrence brothers are good, no doubt. However, I think Collaros and McGhee completely outshined them. If BIG TIME schools aren't recruiting both Tamawi McGhee and Zach Collaros, they are insane. Zach was locking down one of the best receivers in the state, any division and still tearing up Canton South from his QB position... it was a clinic and, to me, it should show some DI schools that Zach can play well on any level. FYI, Tamawi McGhee was offered a full ride by Toledo before the season, but I would be shocked if he didn't end up in the Big East or Big 10. Zach has received offers from all of the MAC schools, I think. You also have to take into consideration that he is also a phenomenal baseball player. Kent State offered him for both football and baseball. Last edited by RedBlack_Attack; 11-13-2006 at 12:09 AM. |

Steuby beat Dover 33-30 today. Dover played one hell of a game, but it seemed that Steuby made alot of mistakes, fumbles, etc. Gotta give Dover alot of props though, they moved the ball almost at will, and played very good D.

Their defense was a little better than I expected, but we still dominated them with our offense. We didn't punt one time. We had two fumbles inside the Dover 10 yardline. The last one was fumbled at the 1 yardline as our WR, Maurice Bougard, stretched the football over the goalline. Luckily, our defense forced a turnover on Dover's next offensive play and a Zach Collaros TD sealed the win. Btw, Zach Collaros' stats for the game. Offensively: Passing - 12 of 18, 164 yds, 1 TD Rushing - 25 carries, 113 yards, 2 TDs Defensively: 2 interceptions - 1 of the interceptions he returned 100 yards for a TD. The 2nd one, he returned 50 yards into Dover territory. He is a beast. |

looks like Aurora vs. Steubenville for the state semis at canton fawcett stadium... should be a good game and I can't wait for saturday night. The amount of respect we have for steubenville's program is unreal.

I respect any team that can beat the likes of Mentor Lake Catholic and Walsh Jesuit back-to-back. I thought that those two would be playing for the region 9 championship. You guys proved me wrong. It should be a good one. Roll Red Roll |

congrats to the big red. Good luck next week against alter. Steubenville's speed just did us in and we couldn't keep up.
