He's looked really good. On the first play he was in he ran for an 80 yard touchdown and on the second play he threw a TD pass. Not too shabby

good for grant. so often we see kids with tremendous athletic ability but limited work ethic but this kid is both. i've never seen someone work as hard as grant has. we'll surely miss him in athens and i hope he has great success at indiana every week but one....lol.

Haw did it all on that drive. Had a big run outside, made a nice little gain on a screen play, ran hard between the tackles and showed nice moves, power, speed and finished the drive off with a TD.
![]() PAT by Skeete is good. 37-28 South Skeete put the ensuing kickoff through the back of the endzone, again. Big sack for Curtis Terry ![]() |

FWIW, Terry was going against Gerald Cadogan quite a bit. Cadogan couldn't handle him very well coming off the edge. That kid has a great first step coming off the end.
I left at half time because the first half took almost two hours. Both teams were throwing the ball all over the place. I think Haw only had two or three touches the first half. Person got knicked up on the first series (ankle I think). He came out and was limping around on the sideline. He got back in, though. He's going to be a good one. I'm sorry I missed Haw in the second half. That is who I really wanted to see light it up tonight. He did show great quickness and is not one who tries to get outside. He squares up and goes north/south. He is going to be deadly if OSU can get the screen going. All in all I was impressed with all of the future Buckeyes. On a down note, Miles Williams made some terrific catches tonight and it's a shame that things didn't work out with him and OSU. He seemed to be playing with a chip on his shoulder tonight. |

Haw really showed some stuff in the 2nd half, when they finally gave him the ball. A real good balance of size, speed, and power with good RB instincts.
Barrow and Terry were both impressive. Barrow is very underrated IMO. Terry showed great speed off the edge and really worked Cadogan on a few plays. He could be a monster at outside backer, or maybe even grow into a DE that rushes and drops into zone a la Will Smith. I see him staying at LB. Welch is a big hitter and a good tackler. Didn't seem comfortable covering a receiver one on one, that's probably why he'll be a safety. Underwood is a tall kid, he should fill out. Played as advertised or maybe a little better even. PSU recruit Tony Davis got burnt a few times by Grigsby and also got blocked out on Gregory's 80 yard TD run. Not too impressed. Skeete looked solid as a kicker. I still wish we could find a solid punter though. Strong leg sending kickoffs out of the endzone, nailed a nice 32 yarder with plenty to spare. It's too bad Terry won't be playing in the Big 33. I'd love to see him again, to see how he performs against PA's best. Maybe he'll take Massey's spot, like he did in this game. |

I just got a chance to watch the tape this morning.
Just a few impressions. Terry is very quick off the edge and beat Cadogen quite a few times. Maybe he develops into a Leo position if he can show some coverage ability. Barrow looked very good at times- with tOSU's lineman rotation keeping him fresh he could cause some disruptions in a few years Welch and Hoobler but are very good hitters- Hoobler suprised me a bit- I wish I would have saw more of him on offense- too bad he is needed at TE because I think he could excel at LB Underwood really shut down Miles WIlliams once he was put on him- Williams did much of his early damage against others Skeete performed much better as a kicker than punter but that is why tOSU wanted him Person- I want to watch again focusing on the Oline- In my first viewing nothing negative or positive really jumped out at me Haw- I would have liked to see him perform better running between the tackles but he is thick and fast. I am excited about his potential. Lane- Not Bam Childress quick but seems like a nice player with potential- one particular ball that he dropped late in the game he really got up in the air for the ball (very impressive) B. Smith- didn't see much from him but I will try to look closer on my next viewing A few of the other players that I was impressed with obviously Ro Girgsby had a great game but I don't believe he is a dominant receiver talent (like Wheelright). He has good speed and nice size and should be a good receiver. I wish him the best of luck but I am not overly upset that we didn't recruit him Miles Williams has some very impressive talent- I am bummed out that he is not a Buckeye Gary Russell could have been the big back we are looking for- grades were an issue with him but he has all the talent in the world- Minny is making a living on C-bus talent that can't make the grade at tOSU (Wheelright and Russell) Tony Johnson would have been a nice fullback but he wants to wrestle and ISU will give him that opportunity The PSU kids (Cadogen and Davis) didn't overly impress me- Cadogen is probably on the same level as Rehring- once we took him it probably didn't make sense to also take Cadogen I want to watch Incarnato a little more- he is much bigger than I remember- I was originally upset that we didn't offer him Justin Kershaw is another good get for MSU- they really cleaned house in Ohio this past year- Howard, Hoyer, Williams, Nick Smith are all good player Anyway it was a good game. Not many mistakes (turnovers). |
