FSN lineup puts games on TV live

FSN Ohio on Thursday released a schedule of the high school football games it will televise live this season. A number of games will be played on Thursday nights.

The lineup:

Aug. 26 Charity Game doubleheader from Cleveland Browns Stadium, which features Glenville vs. Mentor at 1 p.m. and Solon vs. Strongsville at 5 p.m.

Aug. 31 Buchtel vs. Austintown Fitch, 7:30 p.m.
Sept. 7 Glenville vs. Strongsville, 7:30 p.m.
Sept. 16 Cardinal Mooney vs. Warren Harding, 7 p.m.
Sept. 21 Solon vs. Hudson, 7:30 p.m.
Sept. 22 Massillon vs. Mentor, 7:30 p.m.
Sept. 28 North Royalton vs. Elyria, 7 p.m.
Oct. 5 Green vs. Wadsworth, 7:30 p.m.
Oct. 14 St. Edward vs. St. Ignatius, 7 p.m.
Oct. 19 Nordonia vs. Brush, 7:30 p.m.
Oct. 26 Garfield Heights vs. Bedford, 7:30 p.m.
Nov. 11 TBD regional playoff game.

John Adams news:
The new John Adams High School has approved the hirings of William Hill as its athletic director, Gary Jackson as its football coach and Gina Eaton as its volleyball coach.

The hirings still need to receive approval at the next district board meeting. The date of that meeting is yet to be determined.

All John Adams students who plan on participating in fall sports and cheerleading for the upcoming season are required to attend a meeting Saturday at 9 a.m. in the school gymnasium. John Adams is located at 3817 East 116th St. in Cleveland.
