It feels good
My team(Beechcroft) last night beat Northland High School. It is normally a rivalry game. But the past years we have dominated.
Northland is alot better this year. They beat Brookhaven in OT 6-0 two weeks ago. But lost to lowly team East last week.
We lost to Brookhaven this year. A game that we should've won. Going into last night's game, Beechcroft(Us), Northland and Brookhaven were all 5-1 in division play.
With a win against Northland, we would have atleast a share of the City League North title. If Brookhaven lost to Mifflin, which was not likely, we would have the title all to ourselves.
We beat Northland on a muddy field, in a defensive battle 8-0. There was 233 yards of offense between the two teams.
After the game, we found out that Brookhaven had lost. We were the solo champs this year. We didn't make the playoffs this year, but theres no disputing it, we are.............
2006 CITY LEAGUE NORTH CHAMPS!!!

I would venture to say that the whole state was playing in mud. Except for the teams that have the fake turf.
Here is some pics from the game, from the Dispatch.......
I think you can see........how bad it was.
Muddiest game I've ever been in. But after that game, all that mud.......it felt great.

Mud, mud, glorious mud! What a picture indeed.
Congratulations tg05, did the Dispatch catch you in any of their pictures?
