2014 Friday Night Lights Camp

Really excited for FNL for many reasons:

1) Do we get back near the top with Drew Richmond or perhaps even close him? He would be a huge piece to add that would allow us to focus on Daniels to likely close out the OL class. Speaking of pulling the trigger, I would not rule out Whitehead...no inside info, just a potential darkhorse commit.

2) Gibson of course is fascinating considering that relationship was just renewed. As long as that is all resolved, UFM is going to be knocking down the door to get him to Columbus.

3) Does Josh Moore get an "OFFER"? I get the feeling that is why he is working out here. With Farrell and Hausmann in the same group, the staff is going to get a really good feel on whether they want to take a pass in '15 on a TE and wait to take two in '16. Also, I feel A.J. Alexander is a future TE and he will get a look too.

4) 2016 has so much talent at the camp. I would love to be in attendance to see Farrell and Hausmann in the same group. Plus I think you see offers go out to both Drake Jackson, Jonathon Cooper, and Justin Layne...all three are big time and I would be shocked if they did not get an offer. Also, I could definitely see any of Hausmann, Farrell, Layne, McCall, Ferns, or Cooper (if offered) pull the trigger at camp. While it would be a surprise to get a '15 commitment, a couple from '16 would be nice to make a big impression moving forward. Also watch for Speaight and Sandwisch to get strong looks as well.

5) 2017 even has some huge names there. You have to think Danny Clark will be in the ear of Josh Myers and Trevon Grimes...Myers could be his LT protecting him while he airs it out to Grimes down the road. Hey, it is nice to think about it already

Idk RB, IMO, we still stay after Burrell until the end. He could be a solid interior linemen for some years and is still favoring us.

Totally slipped my mind. Agreed, more than likely Burrell would be an interior guy anyways (albeit with the ability to play tackle). And in the scenario we have Schmidt, Feder, and Richmond in the same class, it ostensibly guarantees that Burrell would move inside (likely along with Schmidt, though I like Schmidt at RT).

I hope the staff is able to lock up Hausmann and Farrell and make offering a '15 TE unnecessary.

It will be an interesting balancing act for the staff to strike between evaluating the '15 guys and convincing the '16 guys to be Buckeyes based (at least partially) on the fact that there are no '15 TEs.

Just a ridiculous lineup of talent to have on campus.....

I'm most looking forward to EGW being back on campus....does Superman put on another show?

Next in line for the '15 kids, I want to see what Jordan Cronkrite brings....assuming he works out. Really like his film and think he would thrive in OSU's offense....with LJ Scott off the table & Jordan Scarlett committing to The U, could he be in line for an OFFER? *no longer attending

Other '15 names to watch for OFFERs are WR Lawrence Cager, WR A.J. Alexander, TE Josh Moore & TE Amir Ealey.

2016 is absolutely loaded.....I expect Justin Layne to be offered Friday night (or shortly after) and wouldn't be shocked to see Tyrece Speaight offered either.

As far as commitments, I wouldn't be surprised to see any of the above commit if offered. I also wouldn't be surprised to see Demario McCall pull the trigger on Friday Night.

I know several have their concerns regarding Torrance Gibson, but you can't discount his talent. Getting him on campus is HUGE and depending on how the visit goes, I expect to see him back on campus in the fall for an Official. Getting Drew Richmond back on campus is also huge. Things seemed to "quiet" down with his recruitment recently, but with a September 9th announcement date set, this visit will be a big one. No doubt the red carpet will be rolled out for these guys....

Wish I lived closer to Columbus, as I certainly wouldn't miss this event....any one from BP plan on attending?
