Marcus Mariota gets speeding ticket for doing 80 in a 55

...Mariota was said to be polite and respectful during the stop, which I’m sure will be comforting for Ducks fans. What’s more comforting is that he was driving a Nissan sedan. At other schools, the star quarterback would probably be caught driving a BMW or Lexus, which could probably trigger some sort of potential violations investigation. Not at Alabama.

I think the worst part about that article are the idiots in the comment section that think doing 80 in a 55 is perfectly fine!
Doing 80 in a 55 is fine if on a limited access highway (i.e FL Turnpike) and there is not much traffic. Now, doing 80 in a 55 that is a 2 lane on-coming traffic type of road (county roads, state rural highways) is a totally different matter. From the article you don't know what type of road it is.

In and around Eugene, you have all options available that have a 55 mph. There are some that have a fair amount of traffic and some that have little-to-none.
No one was injured by this speeding; therefore, it's really a non-issue.

Get your ass out of that left lane, grandpa! The rest of us have places to be!

Driving for a month on "expired" tags because the DMV can't manage to send my renewed stickers to me gave me a ton more patience wrt the speed limit.

Oh, and I'm only 25.

As for this week in CFB, I'm really only interested in BC vs. FSU and Ole Piss vs. Arky, outside of the conference games. Okie State vs Baylor could be interesting, but not sure if I'll end up watching it.
