Couple things right out of the gate I notice.... First Hubbard added quite a bit more size and to me it seems Joel Hale is a little leaner than he has been

I'll second that I cannot believe football has already started up for the spring. The college playoffs were just about two months ago or so which is NOT a lot of time to get rested up and healed. Like it's been said the grind that these guys go through is crazy and because of that I'm still in disbelief of what this team accomplished last year. Had the toughest path to win it all of any college team ever, beat Heisman Candidates 3 straight weeks, annihilated 4-5 top defenses over the year, beat the SEC, and capped the season off by going rough shod over the #1 and #2 ranked teams in back to back weeks. Not to mention the QB thing, losing Noah Spence, and a death in the program. This off season, while I'm happy that football is back I'm in NO rush to get to August.

It's no surprise, these kids are semi professionals at this point, and until they no longer play football, they'll probably never be 100% fully healed, especially the ones that go on to play at the next level. At least at the college level there's some sense of routine for them, as they know where they will be living, and how the days will play out, as opposed to the NFL life where they're in new surroundings in new cities and sometimes every few years. Football is too much of a big business for fans and coaches, and schools will try and get every last ounce out the kids before they leave a school

Joe Glenn, who coached the MT Grizzlies to a national championship and other finals appearances said it took a real physical and mental toll on the squad playing 16 games year after year. I hope the desire to be the best will help these young guys navigate the extended wear and tear that they are enduring. I will be interested to hear Meyer's thoughts on the subject as we work through this off-season. It could be worse. Oregon goes into spring with a beat-up squad, but with no NC to show for it. I would rather be in our shoes than that well rested team up North. They haven't played any football since November.

I'm still laughing because NCAA prohibits more than one sponsor on a game jersey (Ohio State's being Nike). But there isn't any regulation on practice uniforms.

With Ohio State and Gene Smith, I'm shocked Ohio State hasn't sold out to like L Brands or Nationwide to put sponsorship on practice uniforms (with the amount of viewing of OSU practice photos and video).

I thought everything was sponsored at OSU (the Abigail Wexner practice uniforms).
