Ohio State Men's Lacrosse (2013 ECAC Champions)

Ohio State Men's Lacrosse

*Great Western Lacrosse League contest
Home games in bold caps and played at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium
All times local
Schedule subject to change

Breschi is a really good coach, I expect him to field a good team, even with losses of russo, bice, gilardi, and caf. I was never big on bice, but he was an all american.

A kid I know was a senior on last year's team...they have a pretty solid program going. They went through some tough times recently, especially the head coach who lost one of his kids in an accident, and I think the team is pretty tight knit as a result. They have struggled against top tier opponents, but they seem to be improving from year to year. I will see if any of my players know any more about the program/players...

One thing is for sure...the lax talent that LI churns out each year is scary. Garden City was a pipeline to places like Syracuse and Princeton at one point.

OSU had a tough year last year but the year before they went to the dance. The beat Army? who was top 2 or 3 at the time the last game of the season. They ended up playing the same team again the first round of the Div 1 tourny and lost. Tough to beat the same team 2 weeks in a row.

OSU has made HUGE strides in the past 10 years but I wish they would recruit heavier in Ohio. The talent is here at UA, X, Moeller Dublin etc. Hell there is a kid from Sycamore that would start at any D1 team in the nation. X had 3 kids go D1, one to Maryland. Moeller has 2 D men that will be playing D1. Mariemont had 1 kid go D1. There is a ton of talent in Ohio.

OSU vs #17 Army lacrosse on now on ESPN U

Don't know how many follow lax, but osu just had a sick man up goal. Guy slightly above GLE, 7 yards out, gets knocked on his back, finds the open mand on the crease who finishes.

5-5 game, 4:37 left in 2nd quarter

OSU dominated the third quarter, its halfway through the fourth OSU up 12-8. OSU's D really stepped it up. They're playing with incredible intensity esp on rides. On O, OSU has been isoing from behind on the short sticksand have scored most of their goals since i've been watching that way.

wow, Army D-pole took the ball all the way behind cage on their O side, beat a guy did a diving fake high shoot low for the goal.

4:48 left in the game

Osu wins 12-9. Announcers are talking about how young the osu team is and how they will be a team to be reckonened with in the future. Delgarno (sp) frosh attacker had a hat trick and there are 2 other frosh attackers that played real well. OSU is a very well coached team and played with a lot of intensity (maybe too much, getting some penalties). OSU finishes the season at 7-6 with this nice road win over army, who was fighting to get into the ncaa tourney.
