"The Indians announced Monday pitcher Tyler Cloyd was signed to a minor-league contract with a spring training invite to major-league camp.
Cloyd played the entire 2014 season in the minors. His last MLB appearance was in 2013, while playing for the Phillies. During his brief career, he has a 5.98 ERA." http://fantasynews.cbssports.com/fa...-pitcher-tyler-cloyd-to-minor-league-contract

Maybe CBS Sports should stick to golf? Cloyd was actually just a resign of one of the Indians' minor league players:

"Cloyd, 27, spent the year in the rotation at Triple-A Columbus after being claimed off waivers from the Phillies around this time last year. He pitched to a 3.89 ERA with 6.4 K/9 and 1.7 BB/9 in 166 2/3 innings in his first year with the Cleveland organization." http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2014/...paign=Feed:+MlbTradeRumors+(MLB+Trade+Rumors)

Or, maybe the question should be why did the Tribe bother to issue a press release for this? Oh, yeah....that's right....WHAT IF?

Oh, and Francona signed an extension, but it is contingent on Shapinnetti not being fired...if one goes, he is free to leave. Because, you know, when you assemble a power team like that, how could you ever break them up? :slappy:

What this thread needs...is more goat

3 different Cy Young winners in the last 8 seasons. That's actually pretty impressive. So we have that going for us, which is nice.

Its something... by the middle of the season his starts were about the only ones I made it a point to watch... and it was worth watching most of the time. When he was on, he was just toying with fools some of the time.
