I vote that we not feed into the Brady Hoke BS that offering a player 11 months before signing day and 7 months before they play a snap of HS football as a senior is somehow delayed.

Taylor is clearly one of the top d linemen in the state and he is being treated as such by Ohio State as evidenced by the early offer.

If the process is accelerating, it's not "Brady Hoke BS" to offer early or get left behind.

It's been explained many times why the "process" is different when Ohio State offers in-state players. It feeds into Hoke's BS when people don't understand how OSU recruits in-state players. It would be nice if we could spread that understanding at least within our own fan community.

Agreed, let's not start this argument/discussion in every Ohio kids thread. The staff knows what they're doing and have their targets in sights, not every kid in Ohio will get an offer, this is a new coaching regime. And I'll just leave it at that. Happy the kid got an offer, glad to see the Cincy love, but the staff will go after the best regardless of where they live

You're assuming I don't "understand" the staff slow plays in-state players in hopes of attracting the big fish out of state? It seems you don't understand the point of a message board.

I don't like it, many others don't either. It has nothing to do with Brady Hoke.

If you think this offer was a "slow play" I think you're wrong amongst other things.

The earlier offers to OOS players are invitations to visit campus 95% of the time.

You can't do that with Ohio players for obvious reasons. This is an early offer by Ohio State to one of the best in-state defensive linemen.

I'm not speaking about this situation in particular.

But we'll agree to disagree. Ohio kids have to jump through hoops OOS kids don't have to.

Nice percentage, by the way. Where'd you come up with that?
