its just at the top and very thin. sounds like you have the same problem as well.

If I understand what you are describing, this is inherent to the video. If you have an editor that offers a crop option, you can indeed take it out. This would take some effort in rendering and re-encoding for DVD however.

I use Premier Elements 2 for many projects and it includes the ability to crop the video. This comes in handy for ESPN captures to take out the scrolling "score" bar at the bottom, but as I said it would be a significant undertaking to edit timBUCK2's work.

Agreed. As already stated in rocket's thread (and other places, as well), tB2's work is excellent.

Being a Reds fan and old enough to remember The Big Red Machine, I was very pleased to find the 75 World Series on DVD. While I don't expect to wait that long to watch our 2006 season again, his collection offers the great opportunity to reflect back for years to come.

It plays all the way through but it jumps a couple plays every now and then...like instead of seeing all 4 downs, you see downs 1 and 4 sometimes(not to often though)

I'm seeding the Illinois and Iowa games and can do others by request when you have those finished.


I need seeders for the MSU and Minn. games and then i'll be done with the 2006 games. I've been working on 2005 and am at 80% right now. Last weekend really took off and thanks for those who were seeding but please continue so i can finish.

Can I get a little help with this whole thing please. I have tried to read through the pages of this thread and I I don't know if I will have the time to get through just to find a "how to do this". I have most every game on VHS from 98 on but the last 2 season are on my TiVo and are filling it up just holding them there. Can someone please PM me some instructions to this. I am just going to need some help figuring this all out but I am willing to do what I need to get these games on DVD to continue my collection. Thanks for all the help.

Exactly what do you need help with? Do you intend to attempt to get your TiVo'd games to DVD?....and then share?

If so, then keep in mind that timBuck2 has explained that he parted with $200-300 (I think that amount is accurate?) to be able to mod his TiVo to get the files to his computer. I would also estimate that the software he uses to create and encode his work costs a bit as well.

When I first came to this forum, I had the intentions to use my capture card to do the same thing, but I quickly recognized that tB2's work was superior.

Which leads me to...

Are you asking how to download the torrents?...and then burn?

First you will need a "client" or in other words, software that will download a file exclusive to the torrent file that you have chosen. BitTorrent is another form of P2P (peer to peer) file sharing along the lines of Morpheus and Kazaa (FastTrack Network), among others, only the technology is different. I use Azureus and there are many others. If this is what you are attempting to do, you may want to visit http://www.slyck.com/ and select BitTorrent from the menu on the left. This can help guide you through the operational basics and also includes a list of both clients and sites that offer torrents. In the simplest of explanations, you select a torrent of a file or files that you wish to downloand, install and run the client and load the torrent file into the client.

After completing the download you will need the DVD files as an ISO image. Some torrents are already converted to ISO, some are DVD video files. I use DVD Shrink, but others have their favorite (many burning software bundles have his ability...such as Nero and Roxio). DVD Shrink can be found with your prefered search engine (the official site can no longer host or link to the download due to a lawsuit some years back by the MPAA).

I hope this helped or that someone was able to PM you. Also keep in mind that most BitTorrent clients offer tutorials, forums and FAQs that can help.

Is your TiVo moddable? (I.e., do a search in Google for your model of TiVO and see if others have had success in getting files of that exact model).

If it is not a moddable TiVO then I sugest timbuck2 or Rock3tM4NN's offerings via torrent. Much easier to get your head around. Try it, if it works ou can start freeing up that TiVO hard drive.
