the Alamo Bowl is running, but it's much slower than the scUM game and at this point will be done in about two weeks!

Yeah, like I said before, the download times are whack, it'll get faster and faster like the scUM game did.

I think since everyone is hitting it at the same time (where as the scUM game was more staggered) it'll start out slow.

After a lot of experimenting yesterday, the best way to get it on dvd is to use WinAVI (download one with a crack off of bit torrents). The normal trial that you can get from download.com or other sources will have a watermark until you purchase it. This program converts it to a DVD file in about 20 minutes. The program talked about earlier in the thread took nearly 2 hours to convert a half.

Once the file is converted to a DVD format, use DVDShrink to burn it. The program is simple to use and is probably the best for burning DVD's. You simply "open file", it encodes the video and burns it in about 2 steps. All in all, it took less than an hour to encode and burn the 1st half DVD and I'm burning the 2nd half as we speak.

I think there are some cheapo dvd players that can play divx files on cd's...I'm not completely sure though

MSU game will be up this weekend hopefully. I'll try shooting for better quality. 2.0 GB sound good for total game size?

When you open up the WinAVI program, you'll see 6 round buttons with the "DVD" button in the middle. That's the setting you want to use. From there, you just click on the file you want to convert, choose a destination and convert it. It even shows the movie being converted, so you can watch the progress. Very simple and very fast.

DVDShrink is likewise extremely easy to use.



For those newbies that are getting ready to download movies, after experimentation, here's what you need...

Step 1: Download ABC (Yet Another Bittorents) - Uses very little computer resources compared to other programs. This is used to actually download the movie file.

Step 2: Use this website to find the files -Pirate Bay torrent search engine

Step 3: Download a Buckeye movie and watch it.

Step4: In order to burn to DVD, you have to convert the AVI program to a DVD program, so download WinAVI (with a crack) here using ABC. It's simple, just click on the "download this torrent" link and save it to a destination that you choose.

Step 5: Install WinAVI. There will be a "crack file". Open it up, copy the "dll" file and paste in the WinAVI file which is located in the progam file directory. You now have a complete copy. You didn't hear that from me though!! shhhhh!!!

Step 6: Download DVDShrink or if you currently already burn DVD's, use your current software. DVDShrink is very good and also has a great help forum that you can access through the help tab.

Step 7: Install the DVDShrink software.

Step 8: Covert the movie to DVD using WinAVI. Just hit the "DVD" button, pick your file to covert, choose a destination for the new DVD file, the start converting it. Simple!

Step 9: Burn the movie to disc using DVDShrink. Hit "open file" to locate the program and not "open disc" since you're not copying another DVD. It analyze the movie which takes about a minute, then just hit "Backup". It'll first encode the movie which takes about 10 minutes or so and then burns it which takes about another 15 minutes. That's it.


There ya go, you now have your very own Buckeye DVD!


For those of you that don't have a dvd burner, you can get them extremely cheap off of ebay. I bought a Sony DVD drive (to play the dvd's that you copy) for $27 shipped and a Sony DVD Burner drive for $48 shipped. I did this around X-Mas and now I have a collection of over 300 DVD's that I've burned and it's cost about 50 cents per movie.

Yeah, that'll be better. The quality was sketchy, but very watchable and I'm not complaining. I got watch my Buckeyes kick a little Michigan ass last night and I slept like a baby.

However, I'm working on a Mac, and I'm pretty sure dvdshrink is not available for it, and by the sounds of it, I doubt WinAVI is too.

Took a lil playing with it to figure it out, azureus absolutely will not start up for me, but i already use morpheus and that is working just fine (i am clocking in at over 100kb/sec on two dls at the same time) This is fantastic says they will be finished in a grand total of 4 hours... keep em coming..


ps: it says im not connected to the tracker but i am still able to send and recieve the videos, is there any problem with that?
