Someone please help!! HD-DVR???

I'm glad to see there is an active group of members who are very interested in recording and preserving the OSU games in HD.

Are you guys willing to discuss how we would go about sharing these HD files with the BP community?

I have a few of the games from last year edited and stored in HD on my PC that I tried to get out to people who were interested. I only have the ability to capture games that are played Over-the-Air though and would LOOOOVE to get copies of the BTN HD games.

Thoughts?

I should have my Hauppauge unit today and have all of the games this year still on my HD DVR, I plan on getting them recorded in raw format and posting the files on one of my servers and make them available for download. I don't think that I'll have the time to edit them and take out the commercials and throw in some splash screens like some of the other videos I've seen in the past posted on here but someone else could have at it.

I hope to have them recorded and posted by this weekend if time permits. I will keep you posted.

Which games do you have from last year? I think I have from Michigan State on.. Do you have Washington, Penn State, and Purdue? I can't remember if I have any of those... I might be the only one that has it, but I have Beanie's big game against Wisconsin that was on the BTN. Sorry to burst the bubble Stubby, but editting is NOT easy at all at this point for H264 containers. Stubby, email me if you run into any issues setting that up... I'll shoot you an email back with my phone #.

I have all those, except Purdue. Would love to trade for it! I also have LSU and Wisc fr 07 too

I'd be up for a trade. I too have the LSU game as well as some games from 06.

I'd more be up for putting together some mailing group so that getting new games in HD can become a regular thing. Seeing as I will only have access to the few games that are broadcast in HD over the air.

Thats generally what I do is through the mail... What games do you have from 06?

Yes, I have a raw TS file of tOSU-YSU (12GB) game posted on an ftp site. I will email you the info for access and anyone else that wants it can just pm me. I will probably edit it and convert it to a friendly format sometime this weekend. I started copying the OU game this morning before I left for work so it should be ready when I get home and I'll have that posted tomorrow.

I've got the Texas, Northwestern, MSU, Michigan and National Championship game in HD from 06.

I don't have HD capturing or burning software, but I would be VERY interested in some sort of mailing group so I can get my hands on a Blu-ray version of a few games. Would be willing to pay the cost of discs+burning+shipping for the right games...

I've got 4 HD games posted up on FTP in raw format (no editing). I'll do Wisky tonight and maybe if I can bring myself around to it the USC game. Then I can start some editing and get some other formats posted.

I have removed the commercials from CapnStubby's YSU game file. I'll be looking to compress the game into a bit smaller of a file without too much loss in quality. Does anyone have a preference on what size and bitrate to shoot for (1DVD5... 2 DVD5s... etc) or what codec or file container to use?

I'll try and post a few sample clips of the different compressions later this evening or tomorrow.

So, does Blu - Ray allow you to copy in HD? I have a recorder that will do DVD quality but not HD. As far as I knew/know it was impossible to make an HD recording with the current market level equipment unless you went by way of a big hard drive to store the originals.
