This is what separates the Buckeyes from the rest of the Big 10. This is why Tressel has won 3 straight Big 10 championships. This is why he's headed to his 5th BCS game in 6 years. Sure, we're happy to make the Rose Bowl. It's still the Granddaddy. But, ask any Buckeye player if they'd rather be playing in New Orleans. You think any one of them would say no? Give me a break. The ultimate goal at THE Ohio State University is National Championships. |
the National Championship is mythical, always has been, and always will be. there's a reason that the NCAA doesn't recognize them in major football. the goal of Ohio State is to win the Big Ten, beat TSUN, and win whatever bowl game they're in. the MNC is just icing on the cake.

The scary part for everyone else is we only have 2 senior starters on offense and defense. This team can only get better, and next year expect a lightsout offense. But as of right now we need to prepare for whatever bowl game we are playing in.
