I liked the Pryor thread much more when it was locked and there was actual information posted. I hate that everybody feels the need to post every useless thought that pops into their head in regards to the Pryor situation because apparently they think people care. Guess what, nobody cares. Sorry, needed someplace to rant and I didn't want to put it in the Pryor thread because then I'd just be contributing to the exact thing I hate. It's the entire reason I come to this site, it's the only OSU site I visit daily because I like just straight information from knowledgable people who don't jump off a ledge anytime something somewhat bad happens.

You may get your wish pretty soon...there have been a few meaningful posts that lead to some relevant discussion today, but for the most part we have had to continue to trim the fat all day long. The majority of the mods have agreed that it may need to be shut down again. We thought we would open it back up to see if we could carry on without the ledge-dwellers dragging the thread down but so far that has not happened.

It could just be that it's been closed for a while, but it seems to me like it's way worse than it was before the thread was closed and there's a lot of new people jumping in, some who've never even posted before, and making asinine comments that spur on several responses.

For what it's worth, my opinion is that the Pryor thread should be locked again. I totally agree that I think it has gotten almost worse since it has been unlocked. "Posters" are not really posting any factual information regarding Pryor's recruiting but just going off and posting useless information most of it not relevant to the recruitment of Pryor.

I also believe that this thread should be a sticky.

Good idea.

Respect for the kids will always be first and that may necessitate a lock, but I don't think anyone here wants it to have to be that way. Most people get it; just help out by setting an example and not getting caught up in the hijacks.
