$2.56 just off the highway in Dundee, MI (Cabela's exit). We put over 1,300 miles on the car this weekend. I think I will have to retire a couple of years later than planned because of this weekend's gas costs.

In beautiful Keene, NH, it was $2.25, whereas in [censored]hole Gardner, Mass, it was as high as $2.53. Oh well, at least soccer moms won't be driving 5000 lb vehicles much longer...

It was $2.49/gallon in Huber Heights yesterday.
We live in a country that will find a way to insert cheese into literally any food item you want, yet we can't figure out how to run our cars without buying oil from nations that sponsor terrorists and/or presidential cronies. I remember maybe a year back when we were all bitching about $1.50/gallon. People (by people, I mean oil company interns and lackeys) came out and told us how many other liquids on the market cost us more than gasoline. They pointed out that we pay almost twice as much per gallon for milk as we do for gasoline. That was a cute little idea back then. Nowadays though, all I can think is, "Oh [censored], gas almost costs more than milk, and my car DOESN'T RUN ON MILK." Wouldn't it be nice if more of out nation's best and brightest spent less time developing smart bombs to "liberate" foreign oil and more time figuring out ways to run our cars that would allow us to ignore those worthless countries altogether? After all, when we've used up all the foreign oil one day, will I be able to drive a smart bomb to work? Maybe I will, but I'm not sure that's such a good idea. |

2.35 in ytown, and 2.49 in akron, i drive 116 miles per day
with gas at 2.49 per, it costs me 10.26 per day to drive to work and back, thats with a car that gets 28 miles per gallon. lets break down some more math...full time work is 2080 hours, i get 3 weeks vacation, so that takes me down to 1960 hours, which is 245 days, on average another 5 days off work, for holiday's meetings, ect. So 240 days per yer, i spend $10 to drive to work, thats 2400 in gas, just driving to work... not to mention that i spend 2 hours per day in my car commuting which is 480 hours, or 20 DAYS, so i spend 2400 dollars a year to drive to work, and 20 days driving to work...i'm going to be sick |
