I paid $2.69/gallon today. I'm not sure if this has been mentioned, but I have heard that by Labor Day, the price will be around $3.00/gallon in Ohio....

I'm not saying that's what happened here, but I HATE when people point to gas prices in other countries and tell me I should be thankful. Yeah, I'm really thankful that it costs twice as much for me to drive to work as it did two years ago, yet I still get paid the same.

Word has it that Gas prices have not peaked. $3.00 average Nationwide by end of month not impossible. $4 not out of the question by years end. Our current prices already exceed the peak assumed by DOE in their projections for 2005 by at least 15% - even after summer regulated fuel adjustment is figured out. This uptick began in 2001 and has not stopped trending up.
