Under Constant Attack

I don't know about anyone else, but my computer has been under constant attack from remote systems trying to hack in for about the past week. It is frickin driving me nuts.

I use Norton Internet Security and I have an alert popping up about every minute or so. Anyone else having the same issues lately? Anyone know of a way just to auto configure NIS to keep it from always popping up with an alert and just blocking it?

Don't these people have anything better to do with their lives then hack other people's computers or write viruses? I mean think of what they could do if they put their efforts to positive use.

I have had at least five attempts while writing this!!!

I'm running NIS, too. However, I'm not having this problem.

I'm no computer genius, so sorry I do not know how to help.

I received a number of warnings over the weekend also. Clarity's thread "Its your computer..." is great if you haven't checked that out.

on NIS, double click the icon on the toolbar, and then when it pops up highlight hide alert tracker. That will keep the tracker from popping up showing you whats going on. But you still will be able to see when someone is trying to use a sub seven trojan or something like that because a red yield sign will pop up on the NIS icon on the toolbar.
